Into You is a good choice.

Im guessing the deluxe tracks will then be put on streaming platforms.

Touch Me for b-side and promo. I think this would entice the general public.

Also add the live stream version of ITTY

Thought she might release this when she performed it on a German tv show the other week. Hopefully she will make the deluxe edition avaible digitally now and a price reduction wouldn't go a miss.
Completely agree. Or try a joint release with virgin it can happen if negotiated right.

Exactly. It is not out of the question. Sophie Ellis-Bextor has just released a compilation that features recordings owned by her former record label.

Sophie also released one last year too. I guess it's the cost factor is it worth paying to re-record them if she has to do so when it might only sell 10-20k copies .

I think of all the girls though Melanie has the best chance of a decent selling Greatest Hits album she has the solo records that have aged best in the public perception. I turn to you alongside It's raining men is probably the most well remembered / liked solo hit when you look at it's downloads and streams compared to the rest of the girls back catalogue, and then When you're gone is clearly the overall one.

- When you're gone

- Never be the same again

- I turn to you

- First day of my life (for Europe)

Are all big and well remembered hits

- Northern star

- Loving you

- I know him so well

Are familiar or have familiar people on them.

Pair it with a TV advert with clips of all these and then Going down, Here it comes again, Next best superstar with a voice over saying and the top 10 hits... I think she would appeal to a fair few casual buyers and achieve her highest sales since Beautiful Intentions. Songs like Carolyna and The moment you believe were also popular and #1 hits in some European countries which would help interest out there. It's a no brainer to me.

Out of the other girls Geri is seen as too cheesy and Emma hasn't really had the memorable hits (although What took you so long is one of the best things any of the girls have done) to really push one. Obviously Mel B and Victoria don't have enough material full stop.

Half of Sophie’s songs you can’t play on Apple Music which is odd , they are blocked
Honestly, if she has to postpone the tour indefinitively, it might be smart to release a greatest hits in its place - if she's smart (and I'm sure a lot of members will want me banned for even suggesting this) she'll try to sandwich Melanie C tracks between her more popular ones on a potential playlist - ie go I Turn To You - Who I Am - Never Be The Same Again - Blame It All On Me - First Day of My Life etc.

I agree with most of this, but I think her recent singles have been quite profilic online so she would do well to include one or two in the adverts/promo.

she is rehearsing a dance for the royal variety so we are not just getting a spice ballad !!
It's Blame it on me, which is good. I'd have preferred Who I am from the new album but this is the 2nd best choice she could have picked.

Agree! I also think that Blame It On Me is better for a live setting like this, but would be nice to see Who I Am get a big performance...

Looking forward to the performance - hopefully it does great things for her album!
Mel C did some (masked) promo in Germany. She participated in a new show called "Pretty in Plüsch" which premiered last night and was a ratings disaster. Mel C played the puppet diva and was voted off in round 1.

what on earth possessed her to do this show?

she sang shallow and i got u babe.

Any promo is good promo. B-)

Where can we see it?

Oh god, I saw clips of it and it was so bad... Glad she is out of it at least now lol
