YESSS!! Completely deserved! I'm glad that all the abuse allegations didn't affect his popularity in this vote. Whatever did or didn't go on in his private life, nobody can deny what a musical talent he was, after all there's a reason he's known as the King of Pop. Great to see what a massive lead he ended up with over everyone else too! And for the record he would have been my 30 pointer too :D

That's a huge lead for Michael Jackson!

Thanks for running the poll,Gezza. Female artists get most of the attention on Buzzjack so it was good to see the male singers and musicians have some recognition.

Gezza, thank you so much for your creativity, involvement and diligence. We do appreciate it.

The threat was amazing and very emotional to the very end, probably even more than the solo females' one

Jackson's lead is mesmerizing. I did not expect it.

I am very grateful for George Michael's No. 3.

There are some names that seem to be missing from the list but they deserved at least single votes: Michael Kiwanuka, Mike Oldfield, Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, James Arthur, John Newman, Bill Withers, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Mark Knopfler and Mick Jagger.

Can we expect Buzzjack's Favourite Group of All Time 2020 threat after a break?

Huge lead!

He's always been one of my favourites, but I've come to prefer Prince's music in the last few years.

I think that's down to how much Prince material there is though, MJ was definitely more consistently great.

Dangerous is my absolute favourite of his, it's in my top 5 albums of all time

Thanks for doing this Gezza, must've taken a lot of time to put together.

The groups will complete the rates at some point before Christmas yes! :D

So after all the speculation that the whole Leaving Neverland thing would affect Michael Jackson in this... #2 ended up being closer to #18 than to MJ

A few more that I can think of to add to that list:

Bob Dylan

Richard Ashcroft

Jimi Hendrix

Paul Simon

Little Richard

Art Garfunkel

Rag 'n' Bone Man

The King of pop won the Male comp.

The queen of pop won the female comp.

Well done buzzjack !!

Gezza as always , a brilliant thread :)

Wow Michael Miles ahead. I had thought he might not too quite as well like people mentioned because of his personal life not his music but glad he's rightfully number 1.

Was a brilliant countdown as was alot more unexpected than a female one. Think we need a all time groups one now 🙊

Many thanks for running this poll, Gezza. Really enjoyed this countdown. Probably was obvious that Michael Jackson would win and rightly deserved.

great top 2

how did Enrique get so high lol he can barely sing

everybody knows he's like the worst singer in the history of music

saved by autotune and all the gadgets in the world

that's nuts

Thank you so much for this Gezza, i've loved following it. My 30 pointer winning, we love to see it. In fact a lot of my favourites did well especially artists like Prince who aren't the most commercial! Great thread :D

Think that's a bit harsh? He might not float your boat but to say he can barely sing or that he's the worst singer in the history of music is going a bit far

I assume that some people didn't include MJ in their votes, but out of those who did, everybody gave him 11 points or more. He averaged 24.4 points per voter out of those 23 voters!

Thanks for hosting this Gezza!

Thanks for this Gezza! I appreciate these threads. They're both fun and interesting in equal measure to follow. :D MJ is a worthy winner but I did not expect him to win with a 201-point lead. :o JT deserves to be the highest male of the 21st century (although technically he rose to fame in the nineties but I'm excluding NSync here ) but second place is far too high for him. George Michael deserved second place imo.

Thanks very much

This is great news! I think a group rate will be very interesting! I hope I manage to catch it in time because the Solo Female rate completely passed me by. :kink:
