Posted March 22, 20205 yr So I know it’s now been cancelled but London Grammar were there on Glastonbury’s lineup this year. They haven’t performed since Truth Is A Beautiful Thing was released in 2017 so it got me thinking that maybe we are due some new music from them in the coming weeks/months? They’re frustratingly quiet on social media so I have all my fingers crossed that the Glasto announcement was the start of something
March 22, 20205 yr Author yes please they need to come back!!!! I still listen to them all the time Same, both albums are fabulous
March 22, 20205 yr Imagine they have stuff in the works after their Flume collab last year. Some more collabs would be a nice stocking filler :D
March 22, 20205 yr Never understood how their cover of Nightfall wasn't #1 for 10 weeks!! OZYw0MQp_fI
March 22, 20205 yr Author Never understood how their cover of Nightfall wasn't #1 for 10 weeks!! They're consistently a chart presence which I love to see, albeit only 3 Top 40 singles so far. Wasting My Young Years #31 Strong #16 Help Me Lose My Mind #56 Nightcall #53 Hey Now #37 Rooting For You #58 Big Picture #73 Oh Woman Oh Man #85 Strong going Top 20 was a moment *.*
March 22, 20205 yr Hell For The Liars (especially the live version) was my #1 of the year. I played it like zillion times! Hope they will release something new soon
May 22, 20205 yr I've been played their 2nd album over last week and I must say it's one of the best album made by young artist I've listened.... such perfection in sound and vocal. I discovered the beauty of "Truth Is A Beautiful thing" song just now. They must release sth soon, 3 years is far too long time to wait.
June 27, 20205 yr Author From Music Week, at least something has been happening and the new stuff is ready to go! The September Management founder & CEO features in the new edition of Music Week as part of our Ministry Of Sound cover story. Dickins said the next London Grammar album is under way, although plans have altered due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “We were in the process of getting the next record mixed and finished, we were a little more fortunate than some of the other people who’d already pressed go on campaigns when coronavirus hit,” he said. While there’s no fixed date for new London Grammar music as yet, Dickins praised the trio – who have scored sync placements including a spot on Normal People during lockdown – for their sustained success. “We’re all so fascinated with the new, what’s hot and what’s fresh, and it’s bodies of work and being successful beyond one album, I think, that separates the wheat from the chaff,” he said. “Or in this day and age, maybe it’s being successful beyond one track.”
June 27, 20205 yr I never really got into their second album aside from Hell To The Liars as it felt a little flat and over produced for me, which was a shame as their debut was great. Still news of new material is very much welcomed, there's so little on the new release schedule that's interesting at the moment!
August 10, 20204 yr Author They posted, and then deleted within about 5 minutes, on Facebook earlier just an image of something on fire in a body of water with no context. It’s probably an error but it could very well mean something is going to be announced imminently!
August 10, 20204 yr Oh crumbs! Hype :D https://www.musicweek.com/talent/read/jonat...comeback/080702 This interview with their managaer Jonathan Dickins also came out today, so I'm sure something will be imminent
