If playlist songs did not count for the album charts, Mabels album would close to 0 sales :)

And they are going to get worse as the weeks go on :drama:

I don't think they'll drop that much more now. Most of the albums are supported pretty much only by streams and they're not likely to change that drastically. The #10 should remain around ~3.5k and #40 around ~1.5k.

The hyperbole in this thread over Little Mix is quite tiring to read. They're still way outperforming their peers and while they may potentially be past their peak, they're far from flopping. They're also still selling incredible ticket numbers. Please give it a rest so we can get back to the topic of the thread.

Radio is just starting to get behind the track, so I think that’ll now shake things up and make things interesting hopefully.

I’m not sure we’ve ever seen a girl group have to face such a challenge as switch from the sales market; to a heavily dominated steaming world - and still hold up.

any info on Dua Lipa’s current midweek sales?

Tonight at 6pm when Music Week updates, unless we get the info before that.

I agree with all this. I think their follow-up singles to BUS will determine how much support they'll receive in the future. Personally I'd love for them to get into the studio with MNEK - he produced Touch and IDGAF. Or Calvin Harris maybe.

MNEK is executive producing their album.

Wow, Queen at #6! :o They won't be able to make Top 5 but it would be the first time since 1982 if the album managed it. It will be the first time its been Top 10 since 1992.

Sales are low but the album chart is actually interesting seeing so many old albums appear highly.

Also just seen Spain has suspended their chart saying it’s irrelevant.

I really hope the UK doesn’t do this! The chart is one of my only things I look forward too and it provides such an escape from what’s going on outside.

Spain's album chart only includes pure sales it seems, so that'll be why. Ours at least has streaming keeping it afloat!
Have Little Mix been pushed down to 23 by that potato song?

Surely you mean pushed up to #21? In which case, yes.

The potato song was above them initially so doubt it

Surely you mean pushed up to #21? In which case, yes.

Oh, my bad, I thought it was below!

Thanks! Here's hoping they secure the #20/#19 by Friday. :cheer:
