19. How I Want Ya (with Hudson Thames) | Average: 4.9

The first track to drop out, and coming last in the rate is How I Want Ya. This collaboration saw Hailee team up with Hudson Thames for a very mellow, electronic song. The track managed to get two 7.5's which was it's highest score. Hailee is not very prominent on the track but does take an important role in the chorus.

 

Personally I find this rather repetitive and it does not WOW me... Worthy of its position I think.

 

 

 

18. Fragile (with Prince Fox) | Average: 5.45

Up next is another collaboration, which is fairly unknown with only 200,000 views on Youtube. For this track, Hailee has teamed up with producer Prince Fox. The song itself sounds very trend jumping of the 2016 Chainsmokers sound. It is a pleasant listen, but again, it doesn't really show a lot of range in the sound and it plods a little bit too.

 

 

I didn't even know those songs existed before this rate :') but none were too memorable to me so no losses atm.

17. Wrong Direction | Average: 5.5

Finishing the bottom 3 is the lead single from Hailee's newest venture, Wrong Direction. The track received lackluster reviews from the fans on Buzzjack and generally went undercooked by the public. I understand the vibe that she was trying to go to with this... However, it is pretty bland and the rates here confirmed it.

 

16. Digital Love (with Digital Farm Animals) | Average: 5.75

A fun dance track next sees Hailee team up with Digital Farm Animals for the song Digital Love. The song is known for its childish chorus singing about finding love on apps such as Tinder and Instagram. The track has the infamous drop chorus that Digital Farm Animals are known for.

Lol at being the highest scoring on the entire bottom 3 despite not knowing any of them before the rate happened. Undeserved but at least it's a feature that finished last I guess.

'Digital Love' is cute! Should be a tad higher tbh.

15. Woke Up Late (with Drax Project) | Average: 6.8

Kicking off the top 15 is Woke Up Late. The track is a collaboration between Drax Project and Hailee. Despite Hailee not coming in full until 2 minutes in, she is prominent in the chorus. The track is a mellow bop and the video is cute too. I think the fact the video stars Liza Koshy is why it has 20 million views - which surprised me!

 

14. Back To Life | Average: 7.05

Highest: 10 (Samantha) Lowest: 1 (Dexton)

 

Here we have a standalone single from Hailee. Back To Life was released for the Transformers film Bumblebee, which she stars in. The track received promo with performances on the MTV EMA's and The Voice. The track didn't exactly bring the charts back to life... However, it is pleasant enough after gaining a 10 from Sam.

 

Another song I didn't realise existed until this rate lmao. Back To Life though, so cute!

Back to life deserved WAY better! One of my all time Hailee faves, it just goes off perfectly and reminds me of so many fantastic memories from around that time 😍

13. Dance With Me (with Chic) | Average: 7.2

At unlucky number 13, we have Dance With Me. This track was a collaboration with Chic for their album, It's About Time. This disco-infused banger will be enough to get everyone up on their feet to dance. It is utterly feel good.

 

12. Afterlife | Average: 7.2

Highest: 10 (George.keh) Lowest: 3 (Dexton)

 

With the same average of 7.2 (but receiving a 10) is Afterlife. The track acted as a promotional single for Hailee's Apple TV series Dickinson. The track has received mixed reviews with rates going anywhere from a 3 to a 10. The video for this is very good.

 

11. You're Such A | Average: 7.6

Just missing the top 10 is a promotional single from the Haiz EP. You're Such A is a fan favourite and really should have been an official single. This fun pop number has some quirky wordplay with Hailee going straight into the next line of the chorus before finishing the 'damn you're such a...' :heehee:. Fun fact, this track has the same average as another song - but that song got more 10's, so shoved it out of the top 10.

All bops except 'Afterlife' which was "nice". 'Dance With Me' was a really nice discovery.

 

'You're Such A' is so good!

IMO You're Such A is one of her worst lyrically but the production redeems it sooooo much!

Gaining a 10 from Sam and Jack, we have At My Best beating You're Such A to the spot in the top 10. The track's chorus is inspired by the 'if you can't take me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best' tree from Tik Tok (I think). The lyrics are very meaningful and Hailee really brings energy to the track. She also looks incredible in the video! Bravo!!

afterlife is truly underrated, a beautiful track

Next, we have the Ryan Tedder written Most Girls at number 9. This girl empowerment anthem is known for the high pitched 'staying out late cause we're just celebrating'. This was the real shock for me in the rate. Getting a 10 from me and Jack, the song also managed to get a 0! Which really hurt its average... It is a bop and was another UK top 40 hit for Queen Hailee.
