April 22, 20205 yr This was my first time listening to Fiona Apple and I have to say that I am obsessed with this album. Something about it so natural and real-sounding, I don’t think I’ve heard a more honest an authentic body of work before, let alone something even on the same level, sonically. Very much looking forward to hearing her earlier works once I’ve finished spamming FTBC. At the moment my favourites are Heavy Balloon, Relay, Under the Table, Shameika and MY WORD Drumset is brilliant.
April 22, 20205 yr Welcome aboard the torture that is being a Fiona Apple fan! Unfortunately I've been here for three albums AKA nearly 20 years... If you do go through the back catalogue either start right from the beggining. OR Go back to The Idler Wheel first (the most similar to Bolt Cutters) and then go back to the start. She gets better with every album. Thanks for this - I think I'll work my way through chronologically with one a day! New album has had four plays now (albeit still in the background, hurry up work), can't get enough
April 22, 20205 yr I've always loved Criminal but never checked more of her stuff out, count me in for me too after how bloody brilliant of an introduction this has been!

New album has had four plays now (albeit still in the background, hurry up work), can't get enough ONE A DAY Bold of you to assume! I would get stuck for days on Never Is A Promise alone. Also, bare in mind Extraordinary Machine had two versions, her record label famously scrapped the first version. I would suggest you do the bootleg version first ( ) If you're going to do this thing properly!
April 22, 20205 yr TIL that she only has 5 albums including the new one so yeah imma need to salvage those for longer for that reason alone Thanks for the heads up about that situation! Excited ~ Finished the day with 6 listens of 'Fetch The Bolt Cutters' and the vinyl on pre-order *.*

April 25, 20205 yr I've listened multiple times now and I really enjoy the album; I tend to 'like' songs on Spotify which I really love and nine of the tracks on the record have achieved that which is a pretty high number as I try and be and selective as possible. I'd say that 'Under the Table' is my favourite, followed by 'I Want You to Love Me' and 'For Her'.
April 29, 20205 yr https://www.vinylmeplease.com/collections/n...=32169614245978 Aubergine vinyl :cheeseblock: I've already ordered the standard one + you have to be a member so I'm reluctant, but how pretty Edit: oh it's members only for the first 48 hours, then whatever is left for everyone else Edit 2: bought it lol and cancelled my pre-order of the standard, boo shipping price
May 2, 20205 yr I’ve delved into her entire discography now and I’m obsessed. There are way too many things to unpack, I need many more months with these records, but the demented multi-layer masterpieces like ‘Hot Knife’ and ‘Relay’ are giving me everything

Where are you up to? What are you standouts.
May 6, 20205 yr FTBC is devine. Last year I got swept away by Kate Bush and she completely stole my entire attention span with her back catalogue for the whole of the summer and autumn. FTBC sounds similar to KB's The Dreaming album. I wonder if Fiona will take me this year.
