I presume It's Not The End Of the World? by Super Furry Animals is excluded for the same reasons as Jay Sean.

 

I had to vote for R.E.M. even though it was originally released in the 80s (not a Top 40 hit until 91 though of course)

 

I wonder who else voted for Sonia, sonia's debut was brill pop album.

This became quite the two horse race I expected - I voted for R.E.M. (of course), but that's probably one of my favourite post-debut Britney songs.

 

I presume It's Not The End Of the World? by Super Furry Animals is excluded for the same reasons as Jay Sean.

 

The Jay Sean title doesn't include World so it was off my radar. I excluded SFA because of it not being the end of the world - but more specifically because of the Lostprophets song (as already mentioned) having a very similar title.
