Posted November 21, 200618 yr OK here it is back once again but unfortnately only this month of voting is left before the final next month. Some new rules have come in since DMC no longer does this competition, funnily enough over here in Oz, supposedly the dance sector of ARIA now controls it but I'm not sure. Someone's still doing it anyway. The new rules have stated that for each month we started with 10 tracks. Then in 2 elimination rounds we move down to 7 tracks and then down to a final 5 list as you can see above. This elmination is decided by a small panel of I think of about 10 judges and they all decide their top 7 tracks and then their top 5 in order as follows: favourite tracks : 7 points 2nd : 6 points etc then in typical style as Record of the year did on ITV, the final 5 is then voted for in the major areas again which are dj's, clubbers, forum (you lot), magazines and journalists (supposedly) and the general public (if they know any of the songs on the list). So here's the list for this the final month of the year (December is always excluded since the final month is done in December). Anyway please get voting, I won't be as pushy as I was last time since there are more forums this year that are taking part. Many thanks and I'll give the result in a think a few days time. TAW p.s. One more thing this year there's a new wildcard round where 5 tracks throughout the year are given a second chance to make it through to the final. Possibly because there were 2 big tracks that got through in a specific month leaving a certain track in 3rd that should've really got through. Anyway before the final I will intiate and put up the final 5 in this wildcard round BUT do remember only 1 track can get through from this round. Due to this the 3 lowest scoring songs will go out. I'll give you the list of the final 20 as soon as this month is completed and the wildcard round is completed as well. My vote goes for the obvious choice. The new-rave anthem Bodyrox - Yeah Yeah N.B. PLEASE AVOID LAST POST!!!!!!!!!!
November 21, 200618 yr Robbie Williams?!?!?! Madonna?!?!? Are we talking Dance... or Pop? My thoughts exactly.... This is the reason why awards ceremonies are doing away with 'Dance' categories, because no bugger can seem to tell the difference between 'Dance/Techno' an 'Pop' anymore... I dont give a sh!t about 'remixes' or what 'producers' they've worked with or whatever... If Madonna or Robbie did their next album with Rick Rubin or Steve Albini producing would it make them 'Metal' or 'Alternative'...?? I think not.... Depeche Mode have let people like Danny Tenaglia, Goldfrapp, Adrian Sherwood and LFO remix their songs, are they classed as a 'Dance' act..? Again - NO!!!

November 21, 200618 yr Author :unsure: when was all the other months done i voted Madonna The other months were done since January and I don't know if I should tell this story (I'm sure you've heard it JJ) but I will anyway. In january some idiot on a very old forum called "Coolclarity" decided to do their own DROTY completely undermining the official dance record of the year that has been done here. Anyway to cut a long story short this guy hated me so much and called me a specific word which I will not use here, said I was to get a life, had a bad reputation on that forum and blocked me for a whole year. This started in February. Since then I've looked at other forums for voting and only a couple of weeks ago found Buzz Jack. So sorry if it's a bit late but at least BUZZ JACK can vote in the final next month which is what I ultimately wanted. Anyway it's fantastic to see so many votes, if anyone hasn't voted yet please do you have till tomorrow morning here in Sydney to vote (ie till tomorrow night). Many thanks, TAW p.s. I have said I was sorry about what happened with that guy on Coolclarity and I'm more relaxed now I'm out here in Oz and I've turned a new leaf but that's why BUZZ JACK wasn't involved in the competition from January - October.

I have no idea who runs the whole thing and I'm doing cos It's a great idea in collaboration with ROTY on ITV. Anyway the results will be in shortly p.s. Robbie Williams is in their because it has a Kurd Maverick and Soulwax remix on it I'm afraid and the panel of 10 judges voted it in as well. THAT's WHY!

Who are these panel of judges... because I honestly can't see ANY panel of judges from the Dance genre choosing a Robbie Williams single to be amongst its top 5 of any month. Madonna is pushing it - but Robbie Williams? No way.
