The #62 Australian smash!

‘Coconut’ is a BOP! It’s a bonkers track but I love it - it’s quirky, different and actually works. I remember at the time it took me forever to get a copy of the Australian CD single :drama: They have become one of Dannii’s most sought after collectibles now and copies in good condition regularly sell for £50.

Dannii said last week that the record company didn’t want it on the album so they compromised on it being a hidden track.

This song is bananas and I like it . It would place midway down the album ranking. I own the Australian single that goes for a decent amount of money on eBay.

Crazy that Australia even wanted a 4th single !

Coconut, real whacky moment but I really like this, would have loved more of this from dannii, I think if the album had more of this and disremembrance the album would have worked better and also songs like its amazing and leave off dross like if it moves. Coconut is the type of the song that could easily be a big hit or huge flop.

Shows what the record company knew as fans generally seem to like it alot

Adore 'Coconut' I always imagine myself in the middle of a pride parade with a pink feather boa!

People always say how 'Everything I Wanted' was a bad choice, but was a top 15 hit really that much of a disaster considering her past history and the fact the album had already flopped by that point? I really love that song.

def a song that you coulod really enjoy in a club when you have plenty of beer swallowed and believe you are the best dancer in the world

In those days if you wasn’t top 10 you were a flop.

I can’t believe that Australia wanted to bother with a 4th single either.

It wasn’t like ‘Girl’ had been huge for her over there either - AIWD reached #11, EIW #44 and Disremembrance #53 so no idea why they wanted to push ahead with ‘Coconut’.

In my dreams coconut is a dancer interlude on a tour !!

The expectation for pop acts back then was exactly that - a string of Top 10 singles or you had flopped.

Someone New, uplifting happy pop song.

It is songs of this style Dannii needed as singles in the early days.

I do question the people who pick the tracks for albums as this easily should have made the selection for the regular edition.

There was a lot of buzz around someone new because it was originally left off the album. Before Girl was released this song was spoken about leading the album and then as I said was left off!

I like it , it’s not a fav though !!

Someone New, why wasn’t this on the standard edition, really like this and I think this type of song really suits dannii, this is one of my faves related to the album but really should have been on the standard edition, there is little vibes of the sounds she went for on this is it on this.
