Theory #1 - Paradoxically, I think the fact that it didn't compete in Eurovision could be the reason why it's had relative longevity after the contest. There's still a stigma again lots of people with Eurovision songs, and because it officially didn't take part in one, it doesn't have that link, unlike songs from prior years.

 

Theory #2 - it's the "Gagnam Style" of 2020.

I suspect Think About Things would have done even better had Eurovision gone ahead, at least initially, with an official top 20 debut perhaps. But yes TikTok is undoubtedly responsible for its longevity. It’s good that a Eurovision song can be more than just that, and can infiltrate into other areas of popular culture too, I’m delighted to see it crack the top 50 on Spotify!

 

Euphoria had a decent chart run in the download era but the last Eurovision song to fully integrate itself into popular culture in the UK was I guess Gina G (with a side mention for the XTM cover of Fly On The Wings Of Love).

I feel like 'Euphoria' has gone down as a widely regarded classic now. So many people I know who don't like/follow Eurovision love the song.

I often hear Euphoira on nights out as well :)
