With Papa Don't Preach vs Live to Tell for lead, it's a similar situation to Ellie with On My Mind vs Love Me Like You Do.

 

Yes Live to Tell is the song that led this album based on the tracklist, but it wasn't initially released FOR the True Blue album, so when playing semantics, Papa Don't Preach qualifies too.

Same reason that American Pie isn’t classed as the first single from Music though...

In a way both can be classed as the leading singles for the campaigns depending on how you look at it, but for the purpose of this game where we don't want to be terribly strict, they're both allowed! :D

What Madonna song, without a video, should be submitted. There is a big single of hers without a music video: Holiday! Or do we choose an album track? :thinking: Thoughts please!

'Holiday' should hopefully standout for the right reasons by being a single when other artists will have to resort to album tracks.

I think Holiday is really dated so I think it will be on the back foot with regard to younger people voting who don't know it as well as newer acts.

 

That said, most of Madonna's album tracks will be in the same boat as those posters probably don't listen to Madonna these days at all.

 

So I guess I'm saying 'Holiday'!
