Welcome to Week 6 of the quiz calendar and it is back to FAMILY FORTUNES! :w00t:

You probably know the rules already, but in case you've forgotten - the aim of the game is to give the answer that you think will be the MOST popular choice. This translates to the amount of points you get, so if 4 people went with the same answer as you, you'd get 4 points.

The deadline is next Sunday 10 April, at 14:00 BST (note I am 5 hours behind BST hence the slightly later deadline!).

Please PM me your answers.

The theme of this quiz is, surprisingly, the UK CHARTS. (emphasis on UK, don't come at me with answers relating to the ARIA charts or something pls).

20 questions this week as I have a bit more time on my hands (as do most of us!!)

1. Name a song with a capital city in its title

2. Name a song that spent more than 10 weeks in the Top 40 but did not break the Top 20

3. Name a song by an individual Spice Girl that did not make it to #1

4. Name a song with a planet in its name

5. Name a song which climbed to #1 from outside the Top 3 (direct jump in one week)

6. Name an artist that has featured/collaborated with Justin Bieber on a track

7. Name a group who have had at least 20 Top 40 hits but no #1

8. Excluding Euphoria, name a Eurovision entry which made the Top 40 from 2000 onwards

9. Name a song with an item of food in the title

10. Name an artist that has featured/collaborated with Katy Perry on a track

11. Name a song where the title does not feature in the lyrics (NB instrumentals are NOT valid answers for this question)

12. Name an artist who debuted at #1 with their first single, had at least ten Top 40 hits but no further #1s

13. Name a song by Justin Timberlake

14. Name a Britney Spears song that did not make it to #1

15. Name a #1 single from 2000

16. Name a Jennifer Lopez song that did not make it to #1

17. Name an artist with at least five #1 albums

18. Name a song which has been the theme tune to a film

19. Name a solo female who debuted at #1 with her first single but had no further #1 singles

20. Name a song by Westlife

If you've got any queries on the wording of the questions please feel free to post below.

Happy quizzing!!

So many of these seem very open! Have settled on answers for 17 questions so far, will submit when I've had time to think through the other three some more ^_^

For #5 does it mean the song went say 6-1 within the space of a week but not say 5-2-1?

I’ll be entering this one for sure!

Yes - it needs to be direct jump from outside Top 3 to #1.

20 questions is cool, always felt 10 questions was too short

but questions 12 and 19 are almost the same?

and what do you mean in Q18, a "theme tune"? a song that is in a film?

They are similar but quite different criteria for #12!

Theme tune I mean llke a soundtrack/featured in film.

For Number 12, is the #1 included in the 10 top 40 singles or do you mean a #1 and 10 further top 40 singles? :gaycat:

The #1 counts in the overall 10 :)

Thank you. :D These are great questions! I think I've got my answers but will see if I can do better.

For 12 & 19 - When you say debuted at #1 do you mean entered at #1 or that their debut single was a number one (could've climbed to #1)? Cheers :)

I read it as 'entered at #1' so I hope it's that, took me aaaaages to find an artist who fit that criteria for no. 12!

Sorry I should have maybe made the wording in 12 and 19 a bit clearer - the song just needs to have reached #1 - it does not need to have gone in at #1 on its first week to count.

Sorry M4NGO!

Oh well at least my artist still fits the criteria, just hope other people go for it too.

I read it the same way as you and I'm not going to change my answer to Q19 now. But I've really been struggling with Q12 (they most certainly are not the same question :P) so this clarification will perhaps change things for me now with my searching.

Sorry, I know questions being open to interpretation is kinda the point with FF, but are we being strict with it having to be their very first single altogether, or does breakthrough single/debut chart appearance count? And do featured credits count (either towards the 10+ top 40 hits, and also as the #1 single if it was their first credited chart appearance) - I'm not including charity appearances (Band Aid/Live Lounge Allstars/X Factor finalists etc) as a 'featured credit' btw, I'm not that desperate yet :kink:

Great questions.

Looking forward to the results.

It needs to be their first single that charted within the Top 100 that goes to #1. If they are featured on a song and credited by the OCC then that will count towards the number of hits. Whether you want to choose someone who featured as their first hit is up to you but bear in mind that not many people will probably go that route?

^it was answered in the post above you, I think
