2123: GOAL Celtic 0-1 Manchester United

Celtic Park explodes in delight as Shunsuke Nakamura whips a quite brilliant beyond Edwin van der Sar from 35 yards. The Japanese midfielder did it at Old Trafford and he has done it again.

 

It was ment to be the other way round but the BBC lies! it is all lies! So apparntly as Celtic have won they are in the knockout stages of the CL. As for Man U it comes down to the other team that isnt Copenhagon

To be fair though its Saha's fault they lost. He had a penalty and a brilliant oppotunity saved.

 

Celtic's goal though was brilliant. :D

Can't take it away from Nakamura. A superbly taken free kick and goal.

A fair result would of perhaps been a draw, but can't take it away from Celtic, even when they where outplayed for long periods of time, Man Utd rarely looked like scoring. A few wonderful runs from Ronaldo was about it. The penalty that didn't look appropriate. So Celtic had one half chance and scored.

Man Utd should have no problem drawing at home in the next match anyway.

 

Shouldn't have been a free-kick in a million years but then they had the chance to equalise from an equally dubious penalty so it's a fair result in the end...

i don't understand why Celtic are top. Man U have a +3 difference, and Celtic +1. All the other win and so on are the same.

 

I thought that the results against each other only counted in the event of the same goal difference

Ever heard of away goals McConnor? Celtic and Man U tied 3-3 over the two games but Celtic scored twice at Old Trafford, hence they go top. Hopefully Man Utd can get a draw with Benfica at least and Celtic can do the same or better in Copenhagen.

thats what I was trying to say, these aren't legged ties, it's a group (league) table. Only if everything was square, would things like away goals count

I can't belive that Man U got beat bless them. I think the ref cheated celtic in the end though.

Grr I hate it when they do all them $h!tty ways of sorting groups. It should just go: points, GD, goals scored.
