I know... <_< I hope she does something for the 25th anniversary of her first album but I have zero hopes ah... As a solo artist she is no longer with the original record company (now EMI right?...) so I guess it will be quite hard for her to do anything unless the record company decides to do something...

 

I was just in England for a work visit and went into a few HMVs and it seems her MHP CD and Delux are well stocked which is nice to see, so hopefully its sales are kind of slowly ticking... The standard CD and cassette have sold out on her store, only the vinyl and the delux left there...

 

Hopefully if she releases more music (LOL) we will get to know some updates? It would be nice to see her get out of the house to do some music for once :arrr:

 

 

I mean I have like 99.99999999999999% certainty there will be no celebrations for 25 years of A Girl Like Me, I mean there was no demand for the album when it first came out nevermind 25 years later :lol: .

 

I don't think even Schizo or Northern Star will get 25 year anniversary releases unless Melanie herself decides to do something for Northern Star which seeing there is going to be a vinyl release of it this year, there is even less chance of it. These two were at least very successful album eras for Geri and Mel sadly none of the other eras were apart from WTYSL and IRM. :cry:

A Girl Like Me was released 21 years ago! 16th April 2001.

I was never a fan of We’re not gonna sleep tonight even before the chart position (I actually disliked that as an album track too).

It's been 22 years since the release of Emma's debut album 'A Girl Like Me'!

WTYSL still sounds cool! I'd like to listen the Darkchild tracks one day.
