#ChemtrailsOverTheCountryClub is now the BIGGEST vinyl copies sales week for a female artist in the US (32K) and the UK (16.7K) in this CENTURY. :o

Giving a bit of love to 'Not All Who Wander Are Lost' considering its only mention in this thread was Sam saying it was the worst song on there lol - that was actually one of my standouts on first listen, obviously quite a simple song but I found it really charming and it definitely has one of the more memorable melodies on the album alongside 'Wild At Heart'!

My other highlights from the album tracks are 'White Dress' (think this was actually the most instant song of the era for me as the title track took a couple of listens to fully click whereas I am loving this one straight away) and 'Dark But Just A Game' (my favourite instrumental on the album), and there are a couple of others that I can definitely see being big growers as well.

I think I'd rank this 4th out of her albums on first impressions (ahead of 'Honeymoon' and 'Lust For Life'), it starts out really strong but definitely loses a lot of steam towards the end.

I have seen some people writing this off as just the leftovers from NFR! but I don't really get that at all, it actually sounds very different sonically to me, maybe aside from 'Let Me Love You Like A Woman' (which still seems like a really strange choice of lead single, I'd probably have gone with 'Wild At Heart' to stick with being a slightly safer / more radio friendly choice but fitting the overall aesthetic of this album a little better while LMLYLAW just sounds a bit out of place).

she performed Breaking up slowly live with this Nikki girl yesterday I believe

I'm liking the album more and more with each listen

the title track has become an all-time top favourite, in her best top 10 or maybe even top 5

'Tulsa Jesus Freak' has clicked with me way more on second listen, not that I wasn't already a fan the first time.

Title track, 'White Dress', 'Dark But Just A Game' and that are officially THE ONES from this album. The album overall isn't as good but I'd take all 4 of those songs individually over nearly anything on NFR!

Im amazed you can judge so quick, takes me usually ages for songs to click with me

like the title track it's an 11/10 for me, but clicked probably when I listened for the 36th time or something ;D

This is pretty much all growing on me too now. It's not as good as NFR but then nothing ever was going to be, it's definitely a worthy addition to her catalogue though.

I'm obese with 'Tulsa Jesus Freak' The album didn't instantly click with me like her others have bar Honeymoon which was a grower, hoping this will grow too!

Really can't get it into 'White Dress' at all. The chorus is so jarring :(

I think any follow-up she did to NFR was going to be difficult as that album is perfect beginning to end... even the duds on NFR (mainly 'love song' and 'bartender') are better than half of 'lust for life'.

I do like 'Chemtrails', I just find the first 4 songs perfect... then it dips and never really comes back up. I think it's missing that striking 'Get Free' or 'Venice Bitch' moment... although 'For Free' is a beautiful cover.

An early demo of Let Me Love You Like A Woman, titled Pink Champagne, has recently leaked. It was recorded during the Ultraviolence sessions.

Which version do you prefer?
