This week marks 6 years since the Destiny's Child reunion for Michelle Williams' 4th album Journey to Freedom!

What could have been an epic collaboration, reuniting one of the biggest girlgroups in pop history, was... a gospel song :nocheer: Whilst this wasn't new territory for Michelle (or to be fair, Beyonce or Kelly, who have had other strays into this genre just much less often) this was a big missed opportunity for a massive comeback smash.

Part of me wishes they did succumb to commercial pressure and release a pop/R&B radio ready hit but another part of me also doesn't mind when this comes on shuffle  It's definitely not bad so don't get me wrong I do enjoy it but I could never get past the overtly preachy lyrics...

What do you think of 'Say Yes'?

edit: I can’t lie tho it has been stuck in my head for the past 10 minutes since I posted this it’s a low key bop

I love this song. Such a shame it didn’t blow up - but it was never going to advertised as a Michelle Williams song

one of the most iconic songs of our generation

WHEN JESUS SAAAAAAAYYYYYY YES NOBODY CAN SAY NO

:cheeseblock:

Say Yes is a amazing!

It reminds me of 'Let The Groove Get In' by Justin
