It was but I thought it was such an irrelevant release I didn’t even bother adding to the New Releases thread in the R&B & Hip-Hop forum :kink:

 

The lead artist is a 16 year old rapper from Australia who was Juice WRLD’s support act on tour.

Ah right, probably just had a big first day cos of Juice WRLD's name being attached to it then

Shocked by the low performance for 6ix9ine. Not even top 10 in the US, weird how he gets so many YT views

I dare say his YouTube views have held up better for this song because of people thirsting over Nicki more than anything else lol ~ (he's also alleged to get more views from bots than most artists do :') but a big part of his YT success is that he has a big fanbase in Latin America which is a giant market for YouTube).

 

It is surprising that 'TROLLZ' has done so much worse than 'GOOBA' on Spotify considering it got off to a similar start on Apple Music though - but nonetheless, you very much love to see it. Hopefully means he'll be missing the top 10 this time and avoiding #1 in the US again. (On US Spotify it's only 114k ahead of the new remix of 'ROCKSTAR', nevermind the original still being #1 - going to take some monstrous sales to overcome that).

 

The Kid LAROI is a name I have seen a fair bit of hype around so felt like he was due to have a mainstream hit at some point, a Juice WRLD collab is certainly one way to make that happen!

 

Pretty sure Ella Henderson's last single did not chart on Spotify at all so making any impact on the top 200 isn't really bad for her tbh.

D Block (#42 now) doing better than 6ix9ine/Minaj (#62 now) on Apple!!!

 

here in Scandinavia there's a big controversy about Tidal right now, not sure if people are talking about it outside Scandinavia

but Tidal is under investigation in Norway for making up fake streams... and not a few streams, millions of streams

think I read today in the paper that in particular they inflated the streams x Beyonce - Lemonade ;)

I would say it's guaranteed, there's a decent buzz about it and lots of songs above it will go on ACR. Plus it's still rising in support on most platforms.
I think it's a better song than 'Ride It' but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll chart at no1!
