I think another good one to show would be Charley's fake eviction, fight night, Makosi wine gate and maybe Rex painting controversy

I feel like with some episodes because of how the world is a lot more PC now and things are more offensive there’s certain things what stand out as being classic but they just maybe don’t wanna risk showing them again.

That Ulrika / Verne one wasn’t really a great pick neither was Chantelle’s to be fair!

BB7 id say Nikkis quote is well known but I think there’s a stronger episode what represents that series.

I’m hoping we see Fight Night though. The painting episode as well when Rex smudged the painting was also a real wow episode until spit gate happened.

If BB8 is featured pls show Charley and Chantelle’s argument what started over Rihanna’s age.

Fight Night was a pivitol episode in the history of the show which needs to be included.
BB5 fight night is a classic, but not for particularly great reasons and I don't think C4 would want to air that - it's not the most pleasant watch.
Yeh, I don't think they'll show Fight Night particularly if this is to test the waters for demand for a revival. They'll want to be marketing the show's image as more positive

Just over 8 hours to go :cheer: :yahoo: , im nearly believing big brother is back. I hope channel 5 follow up with a best of style show aswell to help extend my fix.
Lots of Big Brother related stories in the press which will help attract attention to the best of episodes coming shortly.

Was reading a few of them, I enjoyed the one on some of their wealth, the sun are saying bb1 winner craig has a fortune of £6 million.
Yeh I didn't watch series 1 either it's so different though like. Even Marcus talked normally although he must put his accent on after being told by producers for later series. Also it was a lot more like a social experiment whereas later series were a lot more based on celebrity status!
Just reminds me of the Christmas song he released 'At This Time Of Year' 😂

About Ulrika, the producers clearly have a huge amount of favouritism towards her. Firstly they paid her a huge amount of money to go in the house, secondly she was a pretty non-eventful housemate but they act like she's an iconic one, and thirdly she managed to win even though the public never seemed to have a strong opinion of her (I suspect there were some dodgy things going on behind the scenes to get her to win but I can't prove this).

They could just show everything Makosi did and it would be fantastic.

But a lot of the show can't be shown today. For example in BB7 there was a transgender girl in the house but half the housemates insisted of calling her "he", and made cruel jokes about her. Including Nikki, in fact she was probably the worse one for this. This passed a lot of people by at the time, but if this was shown today she'd become a very hated public figure.

Same with Rex, he'd be considered extremely misogynistic and sexist if his series was shown today. Like how he was calling Sara a $l*t, or how he wouldn't let Nicole wear high heels because she wasn't allowed to be taller than him, or how he used to tease Bex for being fat. The accusation was levelled at the time, but people didn't care so much in those days. A lot of the most liked housemates wouldn't be liked in today's social climate. I don't even know if BB could work today, they'd have to be ejecting someone every week for some kind of bigotry.

I've been rewatching season 7 again and can confirm Nikki was by far the most transphobic. She was repeatedly in Sam's face demanding her to explain her gender, calling her a t***** or 'he-she', aggressively in her face shouting "ARE YOU A MAN OR A WOMAN I DON'T GET IT". It made my skin crawl that at the time I probably watched that and didn't bat an eyelid. Nikki is remembered for her funny moments (as this series will show) but there was a lot of nastiness and bullying she showed too that seems to have been forgotten.

Loved that tonight, I loved how they caught Nick out without a big screaming and roaring fight. Nick doing what he done secured the show even greater ratings. Bb1 was never my fave series but it set the show up so well.

Wonderful trip down memory lane.

BB1 had a raw but warm appeal that helped Big Brother become a huge global success.

Mel was very kind and forgiving towards Nick and showed genuine concern for Nick on the backlash awaiting him.

It was a great trait to see on a reality show and a trait rarely seen in the world of reality TV when such a nasty action is carried out.
