Posted June 11, 20205 yr Gabby Barrett, aka the new queen of country, is releasing her 1st album Goldmine next Friday (19th June) :wub: She gained steam after I Hope (an ultraviolenceland bjsc entry x) took off and definitely seems to be country's next star <3 She gained fame through American Idol and many are comparing her to being Carrie Underwood's successor *.* Album tracklist: 1) I Hope 2) Thank God 3) Write It on My Heart 4) Footprints On The Moon 5) You're The Only Reason 6) Goldmine 7) The Good Ones 8) Jesus & My Mama 9) Hall Of Fame 10) Got Me 11) Rose Needs a Jack 12) Strong 13) I Hope (feat. Charlie Puth) so far just under half the album has been released! (both I Hope's, Footprints, Good Ones, Hall Of Fame & Got Me). All are so good, I Hope is by far the best but everything else is fab <3 (and the order in the brackets is order of quality tbh) I Hope which is Gabby's debut & breakthrough single! June 19, 20205 yr She better not do a Maren and MESS THIS UP with her next era. Maren had potential to branch out FURTHER, but ended up playing it too safe, I think. I forgot this got released today, but I'll listen to this tomorrow! I LOVE 'I Hope'.

Same :cheer: Yeah I think she can, idk if global but I definitely think she can reach Carrie's success in America with the right management/promo. I Hope really has been gigantic (and is now gonna hang around forever now that its really taking off on pop radio *.*) and The Good Ones def seems like a successful 2nd single choice and its updates so far have been promising <3

August 11, 20204 yr Author I Hope is finally top 15 in America after so many close misses!! :cheer: :cheeseblock: with the way its still rising on radio + holding solidly on sales/streaming, I wonder if it could sneak into the top 10 eventually? This becoming such a gigantic hit in America has been amazing to see <3
August 17, 20204 yr Author Omg #11 this week!!!!! :cheer: Surpasses the peak of the bones and I wanna say it’s the highest charting solo female country song on hot 100 since Red?! 😮 And meant to be is the only country song with any female vocals on to go top 10 in forever so hopefully I hope can join that soon!

August 18, 20204 yr Finally got round to the album, I Hope is a contender for song of year for me ofc but I also loved Thank God, Jesus & My Mama and The Good Ones, a really solid debut, I really think she's gonna be the next big country star, like a mini Carrie Underwood. She gets the comparison so much especially coming from Idol, but it feels so right. I really am SO invested in I Hope going top 10 on the Hot 100, there's so few crossover top 10s for women in country, in terms of actually starting as a country hit and then going over to the Hot 100 top 10, I honestly think the last one for a solo female must have been Before He Cheats?! That's insane to say as that was 13 years ago, but it would be monumental if she not only did that, but did that with her debut single! The only other one I can think of is Cruise by FGL and that doesn't count as music x As for Meant To Be, I'd say it's JUST about country but it only went #1 because it's basically an FGL song, had it been Bebe solo there is NO chance it would have done what it did :lol:
