Oh. :( I was hoping it would still be a upbeat dance song, just with a modern take. I'm not here for an acoustic version.

I will hold judgement until I hear the full song.

 

Dannii has loved to sing the acoustic version throughout the years.

Hopefully the total will count towards All I Wanna Do and not as a seperate All I Wanna Do 2020 entry...

Just checked on live pop bars and its number 163 on itunes Australia :cry:

Dannii hasn’t promoted it yet .

It's also only just entered, I'm sure it'll jump up the chart soon.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see it reach the Top 40 on UK iTunes given 'Galaxy' managed Top 50 three years ago and download market has decreased significantly since then.

If it went UK top 40 itunes i would be happy with that, and who knows, if Dannii does some social media plugging it could higher, fingers crossed. Glaxaxy i think went top 40 in Irish itunes.

It's actually much better than the snippet suggested. I really like the ambiance in the middle of the song, it helps emphasize the melancholy lyrics.

 

I think 'Disremembrance' would work with this treatment.

This really is beautiful. I wasn't enthused at all when I read it's an acoustic version, but I'm so happy with what we've got.

 

What is with that spelling of her name on the YouTube upload?!

Her you tube channel is a mess and really does need sorting. I had enough been messaging her manager but am yet to have a response.

 

The instrumentation in the song is giving me ray of light vibes.

I also got slight Ray of Light vibes from this new version. Think I'll be giving this repeated listens!

I may require further listening but I am not sold on this version.

The instrumentation section is the best part and I also hear vibes of Madonna's Ray of Light.

It's a nice version, but I do wonder what's the point behind this release. I don't mean that in a harsh way, but it just seems utterly random to just put a new version online, without any real promo (yet).

Just bought my copy so expect this to shoot up on the Swedish iTunes chart :dance: I also bought Annie's American Cars right after it so that might end up higher - dumb planning on my part! :drama:

Honestly? I just think she released it because she can to be quite honest. I doubt she's expecting this to be a hit and she's at a place in her career when she can safely just do whatever she feels like without worrying about charts.

She released it because the lyrics reflect the times we are in because we can’t touch our loved ones. She has wanted to release this version for years I believe. It is her best output in years for me, even though it is a remake.

Dannii has not even said that this version is out. She has only put a link to the video on her instagram. So she is clearly not bothered to do much promo. But I am very thankful for the song.
