June 24, 20205 yr Harry’s team need to discount Fine Line to £4.99 on Friday Edited June 24, 20205 yr by Cognizant
June 24, 20205 yr Harry’s team need to discount Fine Line to £4.99 on Friday Ya it would be a great idea as the album has done really well and I'd love it to go number 1 or even get a new number 2 peak. I hope ava max can sneak back into the top 20 and really hope ella Henderson is now lower than top 50.
June 24, 20205 yr is Ella H still Top 50? Specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
June 24, 20205 yr Gaga, Dua and Lewis have slowed down a lot in recent weeks, kinda thought the latter two would be nearer thetop 2!
June 25, 20205 yr Watermelon Sugar is doing really really well on Spotify. Could this be a potential number one for him?
June 25, 20205 yr Watermelon Sugar is doing really really well on Spotify. Could this be a potential number one for him? Probably not. Will be blocked by Savage Love.
June 25, 20205 yr for pure pop songs like Watermelon Sugar is very difficult to get the necessary streams to grab the #1 spot cannot see Watermelon Sugar doing 500K a day on Spotify like Rockstar is doing it could be lucky and be at the right position the minute Rockstar hits ACR but then there's also Savage Love that will sure be #1 for 10 weeks after Rockstar
June 25, 20205 yr What's the reason why rnb and hip hop does so well compared to pop songs! Streaming.... just look at German chart for instance, it has changed so much since streaming is included that most of the chart is hip-hop related.... I think hip hop was always much popular than pop I think, it was more illegally downloaded because teenagers used to get it from illegal sources rather go to shop and buy a record. Now, they have all records they wanted to under one finger.
June 25, 20205 yr 'Watermelon Sugar' is not a pure pop song unless by 'pure pop' you literally just mean 'not rap' lmao (not that that's relevant to the point of it not being the most streaming friendly song, indie pop doing well on streaming is considerably rarer than 'pure pop' doing so, just find it weird to use that term to describe that song)
June 25, 20205 yr That's true, if Watermelon Sugar was by a band it would definitely be called "indie" here  (which it kinda is I guess, indie pop?)
June 25, 20205 yr You also don't seem to have any concept of percentages between 0 and 100 though so... :kink:
June 25, 20205 yr I personally find harry styles 100% pure pop 0% indie but each to its own I love this pure pop anthem 9wg3v-01yKQ

It also shouldn't be underestimated how many of the rock kids jumped ship in the 2010s thanks to the likes of Kanye, Kendrick, Odd Future etc when it became clear that hip hop was innovating & captivating far more than the stagnant rock scene.
