i love the video! now it’s all cgi it’s easier to understand the initial delays - it seems they struggled with jade’s first chorus as you can see the lines around her hair. that section also annoys me because she sings “all up on my body babe” first but she’s clearly singing “feel up on my body babe”. i hate spotting things like that cause now i’ll always look for it

did they do this socially distanced too? the scene where they’re together against the wall, was that cgi to put them together? cause they did a great job on that if they did!

love the mermaid scenes, how glossy + airy it all looks - it just clicks visually and sonically.

The views aren’t even that bad too! BUS got like 570k in its first day (💀) and this already has 408K and it’s moving very quickly! Can see this getting over 1m views which isn’t bad for them as they aren’t one for big youtube debuts.
Wow, a great video so much better than I was expecting, definitely worth the wait. It fits with the vibe of the song so well and they all look amazing in every look
Do we know the YouTube debuts for their other videos? Just to form a basis for comparison

Saw on twitter that it’s:

1. Touch - 5.4M

2. SOTME - 5.3M

3. Woman Like Me - 4.9M

4. Bounce Back - 3.5M

Can see this doing around 1.4M but if it stays stable with views it could quite possibly reach close to 2M

I’ll be happy with 1/1.2M in 24 hours...

Obviously they won’t get those sorts of figures as they just aren’t as big now.

How did Touch have a bigger debut than Shout Out?

I think most of their videos would have gotten more views/attention if they debuted the same time as the song (like Bounce Back). When there's weeks/a month between the song release and the video it just drains all the hype.

It would definitely be doing much better if they dropped the video on release day..

However, I think this method kinda works in terms of keeping the song alive more in the UK chart.

This has really taken a hit on AM today, 37 already...

It's because of the Nines album though loads of songs have taken a hit.

Theres 11 Nines tracks above it from their new album so Holiday would be 26 without them. It will start rising in a few days when the album tracks start dropping.

Really enjoyed the video! Of course it has a couple of dodgy at points, but in general I think it's gorgeous and has definitely elevated the song for me. Really ready for some album news now? Anyone else?
