October 31, 20204 yr Why did Sophie change the spelling of the title? With Alcazar (and whoever else it has covered yet) it's Discoteque, but Sophie writes DiscotHeque, why?
November 13, 20204 yr Oh so it’s an actual greatest hits and not just live recordings! Nice to finally have an edited down ‘Groovejet’ on Spotify, even if it’s a re-recorded vocal.

Confused me trying to find the album, wasn’t showing under new releases on her Spotify page. I’ll be glad to have a vinyl of her greatest hits properly and for them not to be all the orchestral versions.
November 13, 20204 yr I accidentally ordered this twice, oops (forgot I'd pre-ordered and was too late to cancel). Still, if it helps her to the top ten! *prays*
November 13, 20204 yr It's a shame she didn't discofy some of the songs... 'Young Blood' would be fantastic upbeat.
November 13, 20204 yr You need to scroll right to the bottom of her discography and it's under 'compilations'. I don't know why it's not highlighted at the top as a new album release though.

November 13, 20204 yr oh i was hoping this album meant we’d finally get the proper radio edit on spotify, how annoying that its a re-recording instead. :(
November 13, 20204 yr I'm guessing there must be some legal issues regarding the track if Sophie had to re-record. Annoying but this new version is pretty faithful to the original at least.
November 13, 20204 yr I'm guessing there must be some legal issues regarding the track if Sophie had to re-record. Annoying but this new version is pretty faithful to the original at least. It's been the same situation for years - for whatever reason Spiller and/or his record label won't license out the track, hence the live version on Read My Lips. Not sure why they're so stubborn about it.
November 14, 20204 yr Really enjoyed listening to this album, she's so fantastic  I'd have liked to have seen Move This Mountain and I Won't Change You included to make it feel more complete though. I really underrated Not Giving Up On Love and Come With Us at the time of their respective releases, they sound better than ever now. Of the new tracks, the Groovejet re-record is a scarily faithful reproduction seeing as the backing track must have been produced from the ground up. Hopefully one day the original radio edit will make it to streaming platforms. The New Order and Pulp covers are both really good, although I think I have the former on a Radio 2 album, and her cover of My Favourite Things is a great album closer, very West End, she sounds great on it. November 14, 20204 yr Looking forwards to giving this a listen on Spotify, might purchase a copy too!
November 15, 20204 yr The CD is not stocked in Sainsburys or Tesco so most people will have to purchase the CD online.
November 16, 20204 yr Like gooddelta said, I am really impressed with how they've managed to replicate 'Groovejet' to sound almost exactly like the original considering they've had to literally remake it from scratch.
