As a teenager, he began recording as Juice WRLD (a nod to the 1992 film starring 2Pac) and set his eyes on stardom. “My biggest fear is not getting to the point I want to,” he told Apple Music in the documentary accompanying his 2018 Up Next campaign, “but that’s also my biggest strength.” His distinctive, genre-blending take on emo rap—Auto-Tuned vocals, hints of pop punk, and beats inspired by Chief Keef and Chicago drill—shines on the breakthrough singles “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are the Same,” which plumbed grief and regret and heartbreak with alarming honesty. Just five months after his star-making debut project, Goodbye & Good Riddance, he released a full-length collaboration with Future that felt like a euphoric, decadent victory lap. His second full-length solo project, Death Race for Love, released in March 2019, continued to mine personal pain for maximum drama, while collaborations with BTS and Ellie Goulding exhibited his range. Juice WRLD passed away in Chicago in December 2019 at age 21. - iTunes Marshmello Marshmello might just be the unlikeliest pop star you could imagine—the anonymous DJ/producer is known only by his cartoonish, marshmallow-shaped mask, with its broad smile and big, sympathetic eyes. But given the way his music has resonated, he’s clearly the pop star we needed. He got his start with an equally unlikely fusion of tough-as-nails trap and candied EDM, and as early fans debated his identity, a co-sign from Skrillex gave singles like 2015’s trance-laced “Find Me” a viral boost. On Marshmello’s debut album, 2016’s Joytime, his signature qualities began to come into focus—the wistful vibes of “Summer,” the playful melodies of “Blocks,” the chilled-out cool of “Keep It Mello,” featuring deliciously laidback rapping from Omar LinX—but it was the nostalgic “Alone,” with its twin nods to 2000s emo and 1980s electro-pop, that solidified his persona. (“Alone” also kicked off a string of clever coming-of-age-themed videos that reinforced his essential relatability.) Since then, Marshmello has gone from an EDM curiosity to a ubiquitous fixture in pop, using collaborations with artists like Selena Gomez and Logic to further his singular brand of fun. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History Juice WRLD 2018 10 Lucid Dreams -2*- MILLIONAIRE 2018 55 Fine China (Future & Juice WRLD) -1- 2018 80 Armed & Dangerous -3*- 2019 39 Robbery -1- 2019 58 Hear Me Calling -IG- 2019 41 Fast -AT- 2019 33 Hate Me (Ellie Goulding & Juice WRLD) 2019 88 Graduation (benny blanco & Juice WRLD) 2019 42 Bandit (Juice WRLD & YoungBoy Never Broke Again) -NAS- 2019 79 All Girls Are The Same -1*- 2019 98 Legends -1- 2020 01 Godzilla (Eminem feat. The Kosovo-born Regard originally made a name for himself in the Balkans as a DJ and producer within the electronic dance scene before moving into the vocal deep house scene around 2016. Regard quickly made a name for himself with his online mixes, DJ appearances, and the release of his own tracks, including the singles "Dream," "Sun Goes Down," and "You're Mine." Although his reworking of Jay Sean's "Ride It" had been floating around since 2017, the track suddenly blew up after gaining exposure online, eventually going viral. Snapped up by Ministry of Sound, the label officially released it in July 2019 and it topped the charts in Mexico, the U.K., and Europe. Remixes followed by the likes of Jonas Blue and Franky Wah before Regard rounded out 2019 performing the track live with Jay Sean at London's O2. - iTunes RAYE Croyden, South London-based R&B singer Rachel Keen (aka RAYE) started her career at the age of ten, guided by her father and her guitar teacher. Her interest in music quickly led to small charity gigs and bouts of singing at her local church. By 2012, RAYE had enrolled in the prestigious BRIT school for music and singing, spending two years perfecting her craft, but she left in 2014 due to the limitations she was being taught and the desire to create her own rules. The following year, RAYE released her debut EP, Welcome to the Winter. The lead single, "Hotbox," was noticed by Olly Alexander (Years & Years) on Hype Machine; he got in touch with RAYE to discuss music, and arranged a meeting with the A&R department at Polydor. With major-label backing, RAYE kept busy in 2016, including co-writing her single "I, U, US" alongside Charli XCX, appearing as a guest vocalist on Jonas Blue's "By Your Side" single, and releasing the SECOND EP. She was back working with Charli XCX the following year, guesting on the singer's tracks "Girls" and "Dreamer." RAYE also delivered her own single, "The Line." The singles "Check" (with Kojo Funds) and "Cigarette" (with Mabel and Stefflon Don) were released in 2018. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History Regard 2019 02 Ride It -NAS- MILLIONAIRE 2020 07 Secrets (Regard & RAYE) -NAS- 0 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 2 x Top 10 | 2 x Top 20 | 2 x Top 40 | 2 x Top 100 RAYE 2016 15 By Your Side (Jonas Blue feat. July 17, 20206 yr 07 | 07 | 2nd week AJ Tracey and Mabel West Ten 2nd single from second studio album Also features on High Expectations Released: 3rd July 2020 Label: AJ Tracey Chart Statistics NE (16/07/2020) | 7-7 Sales: 30k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 11 Sales 08 Audio Streaming 11 Video Streaming Video Oc3IXko6Ups Biography AJ Tracey West London grime MC Che Wolton Grant (aka AJ Tracey) rose through the ranks of pirate radio, becoming one of the leading figures in U.K. grime's second generation of artists. Grant knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in music, due in part to his parents; not only was his dad a former rapper from Trinidad & Tobago, his mother was a former drum'n'bass DJ from Wales. By age six, Grant had started writing rhymes, coinciding with the first great boom in grime. Although the genre temporarily lost its way, Grant soldiered on, unwilling to give up on his passion for grime. By the time he had reached his early twenties, grime had started another upswing. During this time Grant became proactive in his pursuit of radio spots, working his way up through pirate radio before scoring appearances on Rinse.DM, NTS, and eventually even BBC Radio One. With his reputation in the world of radio firmly cemented, Grant released a string of EPs, beginning with The Front EP in July 2015, followed by the Alex Moran EP later the same year. In 2016, he further solidified his status as an emerging talent, with a combination of solid collaborations, more radio appearances, and the release of the Lil Tracey EP. The end of 2016 culminated with Grant's nomination yo BBC's Sound of 2017. That year saw him release a handful of EPs and singles including Secure the Bag and "False 9," as well as dabbling in production on "LA4AWeek." The following year Tracey delivered his first U.K. Top 20 single, "Butterflies," followed by the Top 40 single "Lo(v/s)er." Alongside the release of the singles, Tracey also worked on his debut album. The self-titled release dropped at the beginning of 2019, featuring a wide range of influences, including Afrobeat, dancehall, and country. - iTunes Mabel Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey (born 20 February 1996) is an English singer and songwriter. Her debut studio album, High Expectations, was released in August 2019 and entered the UK Albums Chart at number three. It spawned the UK top-10 singles "Don't Call Me Up" and "Mad Love". Mabel has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Premios 40 Principales for Best International New Artist in 2019 and the Brit Award for British Female Solo Artist in 2020. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History AJ Tracey 2017 75 Quarterback (Secure The Bag!) -1- 2018 51 Mimi -NAS- 2018 69 London's Calling (GRM Daily feat.
