Yep it is. And tomorrow's streaming should be OK. We will only get figures from Spotify but she is on similar new music playlist on the others so....

 

It's not even just about streaming. ...it's about getting on those big playlists. She has some songs on some big playlists but to get new material on their is always tough

We need to see how it fares on the Spotify chart tomorrow. 'Dancing' was there for one day at #77, but that was released on a Friday (like this should have been) and would have garnered more curiosity plays, plus was higher on the New Music Friday playlist.

I'm not expecting anything great on Spotify.

Dancing had no youtube lyric video in week one and I don't think apple music was as big then

 

Plus I think Dancing only had one version to download in first week?

 

So Say Something has a few extras and to me is easier to fit into playlists

Oh me neither. When I say ok I mean in the top 200 on Spotify UK for a couple of days. She's on only 2 playlists lol. But when everything is combined from everywhere then it adds up and sometimes the chart positions are very tight.

 

I am sure BMG have a few things up their sleeve....... they have had 4 months of lockdown to be creative lol

Because it's streams from everywhere adding up and it just means the other 200 above got more than her 3000 sales.

 

You get a lot of old stuff streamed lots as it's on playlists but they get no downloads at all etc so it's a battle and the more things she has and more download sites and steaming sites she can get onside the better

 

Look at her website. She has a link menu to everything she wants her fans to click and steam. Sadly they don't make the effort and want to play there CD and vinyl rather than stream when it counts lol

That was down to BMG. They knew ithey where going to miss out and they released a 99p bundle of downloads on the Monday night on her website and the fans bought into it and got it into the top 40. Without that quick thinking it defo wouldnot have done it.

 

Like I said when video comes out they should do a 59p download off her website and itunes with a different picture etc and fans will rebuy it as they did yesterday

But yes, it truly was. I never expected her to achieve a top 40 hit again and it felt so deserved with the impact it had over those few weeks.

As I said before that number 38 felt almost as good as weeks she went number 1 in the singles.

It held up OK overnight lol. Could move back to 4th UK and is 4th combined. Would love to see it green again today though lol.

 

YouTube views 105,000 so that must have got quite a few US, South American and Australia views over night. Need UK to get watching

Enters the Top 200 UK Spotify at #169 with 62,527 streams.

 

'Dancing' debuted at #77 with 82,335 streams, although of course this was its first day of availability, not second like 'Say Something'.

Least it's in the top 200 so hopefully it will increase.

Oh well 60,000 streams is 100 sales maybe?

I was doing some research on Itunes DSD sales data and it sales Say Something sold around 200 copies in UK in last 24 hours and 445 in USA. I am sure she sold a few more if she managed 1600 in 15 hours on Thursday. Must be more around 500.

 

So add up all streaming from other sites and downloads from other sites and maybe Kylie got around 800-1000 sales total for Friday? 74th on Official chart yesterday sold 6.2k

 

Keep steaming, downloading, viewing

 

Ps. Also there was 15 new Taylor songs and a zillion 1D songs thrown at us on last few days streaming

60,000 streams could equal anything between 100-600 sales.
