Posted July 21, 20204 yr So after 3 weeks of tense eliminations, we've finally crowned BJ's favourite Chromatica album track. And what a winner. But before that, let's crown our runner-up! O9GUJ7Wqy3A "This song is the revelation I had during the album making process that reminded me it is actually the root of all my revelations. Sine is a function that expresses sound. I open a portal to the other realm whenever I write a song, a portal that is a conduit for sound and language. This song is about not only my music making process, but also about how I survive. I survive through music; I always have, and no matter how much I change or things change around me, that is always still true. Sound is my god." Your runner-up is Gaga's collab with her BFF and all-round icon Elton John. 'Sine From Above' is the result of a decade of mutual admiration. It’s delightful to hear the result of that decade turn into a celebratory slice of electro-pop heaven. It's classic euphoric Gaga and in my opinion it ranks as one of her all-time best. And BJ's fave Chromatica track is... AoAm4om0wTs "Sometimes I've thought I've cried so many tears that that's all I was anymore - a fountain for misery to cycle through. I'd rather that not be true, but at least I'm alive. I'm grateful for that. Tears can be teachers if we let them." There was a couple of times throughout this survivor that I didn't think this would even reach top 2, so the fact it has gone on to win is surprising, but who can complain? The song produced by Bloodpop, Tchami and Burns takes on its nineties house references perhaps more subtly than 'Alice', but mixes it with a typical dance pop beat drop. The last chorus coincides with this beat drop and it's the euphoric moment a song about dancing through the rain (and pain) deserves. Gaga's deep vocals contrast beautifully with Ariana's high pitched ad libs, adding the magic that justifies 'Rain On Me' being a worthy winner. The very example of an A list collaboration delivering in every single way and one of the most memorable moments in both Gaga's and Ari's careers. Well done, ladies. You smashed it. So that's it! Thanks to every single person who voted, whether that was just popping in to vote or whether you commented too. Its been a blast  Check out the final results below. ========================= 01. Rain On Me (with Ariana Grande) [26 votes to win/70.27%] 02. July 21, 20204 yr What a top 2! My two favourites on the album. A very worthy winner too - continuing to cement itself as one of her very best singles  And Sine... well, that's a euphoric masterpiece and then some. Thanks for running this Jase. It's been the most timely and organised survivor I have ever taken part in on Buzzjack
July 21, 20204 yr These results would've been good if Alice & Free Woman + 911 & 1000 Doves were switched accordingly but #JUSTICEFORFREEWOMAN still x
July 21, 20204 yr Amazing winner and Sine is brilliant too although maybe "only" top 6 with me but can't complain! Thank u Jase for doing this!
July 21, 20204 yr Alice and Babylon were far too high. And Enigma went way too soon! A great winner though and a very deserving runner up
July 21, 20204 yr Justice for Plastic Doll, Sour Candy and 1000 Doves, the latter two of which are among my Top 5 from the album.
July 21, 20204 yr Author 'Replay' did better than I expected and I'm pleased with that. A massive grower for me
July 21, 20204 yr Author Replay is so much better than Sine From Above and Alice :drama: ...but I certainly wouldn't go that far Edited July 21, 20204 yr by Jαsє
July 21, 20204 yr I wouldn't say 'Rain On Me' is my favourite song on the album, but it's still a good winner.
July 22, 20204 yr ROM and Sine are great, but Alice and Babylon are spectacular. What a shame.
July 23, 20204 yr Babylon Alice Rain on Me Would've been my top 3 but I'm happy! Fixed it for ya :jump:
