I feel it's def more official than Cruel Summer/Getaway Car (I never believed the CS stuff for a second and GC seems like it was going to get a single push/video but then she moved to Republic so that was the end of rep era singles), however this could easily pan out like New Year's Day's push to country which faded out in about 10 seconds

I think it's probably to get some hype building as its the first song Taylor has properly pushed to country radio since Red/Highway Don't Care (icr if Babe was sent and New Year's Day had an adds date but never really got much of a proper push). cardigan is getting no plays on country radio as far as I'm aware!
