I can't at some people so foolishly believing that she was lip syncing. :lol: She could if she wanted to and would still slay harder than most performers out there :') Gaga is at the point in her career when she doesn't need to prove anything to anyone and yet she still manages to surprise us all.
I read that all the vocals were recorded previously so it is a 'live' performance' just not on the stage at that time. Apparently that was a requirement for all the VMA performers? You can tell in Miley and Doja Cat's performances that it's not the studio version but they also don't match the VMA performance either.

I’d have loved a Video Of The Year win but The Weeknd did deserve to win something and saying as Gaga had an amazing night and was the most awarded artist anyways I’m fine with The Weeknd getting that he he is the king after all and his videos are good!

 

Maybes if they switched video and song of the year around it might’ve felt more true but still I’m on a real Gaga high :wub:

I stayed up till about then I think! Her performance aired just before 3 I think UK time. I fell asleep not long after that :lol:

blindly believing it was live is misguided. it’s not a slight or a dig, the whole performance was pre-recorded, multiple shots + reshoots. the vocals were pre-recorded for ease in post-production. she sang those vocals just not live at that time.

 

listen to how gaga talks through the mask when she’s accepting the awards (slightly muffled) vs the clarity in which the vocals shone through in the performance x

Because there’s NO way a black artist can win something over two white women fair and square.

It has nothing to do with the skin color, it's obvious that The Weeknd doesn't have a fan base big enough to beat Gaga + Ariana fans, this is more than the obvious, besides you had not been alerted to put me on your block list?

Also brilliant, and deserved, to see her getting so many awards. And all the looks were 10/10.

What kind of rude (and frankly racist) comment is that "for social awereness purposes"?? The Weeknd's song is WAY bigger than Rain On Me, so not surprised it got more votes. And honestly, after the night she has had, I don't think we as fans have anything to complain.

Did you forget that this is an open category for fans to vote in? Do you really think The Weeknd has more fans than Gaga + Ariana together? Stop telling jokes. :rolleyes:

The Weeknd might not have a big fanbase but he reaches out to a much bigger casual audience than Gaga/Ariana combined!!!
