Robbie Williams single flopping

15  (from 8) Robbie Williams - Lovelight

Chart Run: 28-8-15

Taken from his highly anticipated album 'Rudebox', 'Lovelight', recorded with NYC based uber-producer Mark Ronson earlier this year is a spectacular cover of Lewis Taylor's criminally unknown soul-anthem. Together they have taken it from its warm soul roots, and transform it into a building euphoric disco anthem. Featuring a full-on falsetto vocal performance from Robbie, 'Lovelight' ranks amongst one of his most dynamic and definitive singles to date. - HMV

Yet again, just proves how diabolical the chart is. Lovelight is a superb song and I'm not just saying that cause I am a Robbie fan -_-
I'm afraid this one gets thrown into the already-heaving pile of 'dull' songs in this week's top 40 -_-

Isn't it wierd that the second single off each of Robbie's last 3 albums has peaked at #8?

He has had so many#8's and #4's

It was a mistake not to release this one as the first single of the new album

I agree. Rudebox scared off alot of his fans <_<

Nelly climbed from 15 then :D

She was 13th in the mids, wasn't she?

Next one has to fail to enter the top 20! :cheer:
Hopefully Nelly is Top 10

That's assuming this doesn't make a miracle climb.

Yes, I am aware it's about as likely as Lisa Scott-Lee rush-releasing a single next week and selling 500k to get to #1.
