Taylor has been SO UNLUCKY with the amount of her hits peaking at #2. Honestly all of them were unlucky af apart from Today Was A Fairytale (which on the other hand, was lucky to peak that high). The way they literally all ran into the biggest hits of the decade: I Gotta Feeling/Shape Of You/Old Town Road :cry:

 

I Knew You Were Trouble was gigantic and unlucky to not sneak in a week at #1 and YNTCD's points were really high for a #2 peaking song. I Don't Wanna Live Forever just got stuck behind SOY unfortunately, that timing :/

 

the two songs with me in the title were the unluckiest though!! You Belong With Me just got completely caught in The Black Eyed Peas domination and ofc was a slow riser as a crossover success, it's one of the biggest #2 hits of all time on the hot 100!!! and Me! would've been #1 every single week this year (I believe) with the amount of points it had on release week. damn it coming out as OTR was at its peak. Even though me! served meh longevity, it really did deserve that #1 debut!

v. close & runaway top 2, both all-time bangers that deserved to be #1's :heart: I've given the edge to IKYWT tho, I feel I slightly enjoy it more and it's always been such a major fave of mine <3 YBWM easily wins the video battle x IDWLF is so underrated and I have a real soft spot for it, another 10/10 and was tempted to throw it a vote considering its gonna bomb here

 

I really like Me! & YNTCD (both are 9/10's) but neither are absolute major faves of mine. I acc think I prefer me! :o I forgot how much both bop until I listen to them.

 

TWAF is one of the weakest songs in her discography.
