August 21, 20206 yr yeah, kind of interesting. i could have seen the rise to fame on tik tok further alienating him from the playlist. kind of like when some stars see a resurge in popularity through reality tv, but their music career and subsequent singles just becomes even more irrelevant on radio. It's kind of like when they didn't support 'Moves Like Jagger' then subsequently heavily supported all their singles for 10 years afterwards lol

(My memory for these things is terrible x) Kind of surprising that Drake wasn't just instant A-Listed last week but good to see him there this week ~ Shock horror @ Radio 1 not actually hating Jason Derulo :P (even if they did indeed only end up B-Listing 'Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)') Weird that they would drop Biffy right as their album has come out but I expect it won't be long before they're back with 'Space'.

August 21, 20206 yr I see - good to know they're not being entirely snubbed anyway then! I can understand 'In Birdsong' being snubbed but you'd have thought they would have playlisted 'Arch Enemy' at least.

August 22, 20206 yr Why are people surprised by jason getting hits? :thinking: He had Tip Toe in the top 5 only 2 years ago. He's been getting hits constantly.
August 23, 20206 yr Derulo had a reasonable hit with Goodbye after Tip Toe, which was released 2 years ago tomorrow actually. Between that and Savage Love he only released two singles as a lead, both failed to make any real impact but honestly they weren't exactly pushed either it seemed.
August 23, 20206 yr Author Derulo's the sort of artist you would never rule out getting another #1 even after he's had a few flops.
