August 21, 20205 yr How are Shallow and Falling back lmao. Wow at Divide being ahead of No. 6 already (assuming this is the first week it has done so)
August 21, 20205 yr Lewis Capaldi with his album needs to drop a place next week, he has occupied every position apart from #10 since its debut
August 21, 20205 yr 13 out of the top 14 singles are collaborations of one kind or another. Can't anyone make their own records these days?
August 21, 20205 yr I'm so annoyed Levitating is only credited to Dua Lipa, that's absurd, I bought the remix with Madonna and I expect her and Missy Elliott to be credited. They even mentioned Madonna and Missy Elliott on the Radio 1 chart show. Edited August 21, 20205 yr by Bristolmans
August 21, 20205 yr Jim Bob's album is called Pop Up Jim Bob. It's annoying that the OCC ignore every single listing and the artist himself by assuming the old "best of" rule by removing the artist's name from the title.
It's just a remix and currently neither version is actually being pushed as a single, so that's why they're not credited.
August 21, 20205 yr https://youtu.be/HrG0TFklQ04 Top 50 run down Edited August 21, 20205 yr by Everton
August 21, 20205 yr Weird how Billie Eilish only fell 8 places after that massive drop last week. You don't see chart runs like that very often!
August 21, 20205 yr I think it makes sense - the first week was heavily buoyed by people just giving it a chance because it's a new song by Billie Eilish, plenty of whom must have decided they didn't like it within that week, people who continued listening into week 2 are more likely to continue further into week 3. It's just unusual for an artist who's so huge on streaming to release such an uncommercial sounding song as a big single I guess ~ (mind I also still think 'bury a friend' is a pretty uncommercial sounding song as well)
August 21, 20205 yr Labrinth getting his first solo singles chart entry since 2014's "Jealous" :cheeseblock: so deserved! also great to see Taylor still top 2 on the albums :cheer:
August 21, 20205 yr I like the Billie Eilish track, so I suppose it makes sense that her usual audience aren't as keen.
August 27, 20205 yr Only just noticed that Glass Animals' album also crashed out of the top 60 from #2 like Sports Team and The Streets did, I thought they'd have held up slightly better than that oops! Meanwhile Deep Purple somehow staying as high as #29
August 27, 20205 yr Also a late observation, but Ed Sheeran's No.6 Collaborations Project has now dropped below Divide for the first time.
