November 27, 20204 yr Three great bands there and three bands that I completely overlooked when I was trying to figure out who was left - I'm not sure how I could have forgotten a band as big as REM!
November 27, 20204 yr REM  Automatic For The People is such a strong album, definitely one of the very strongest 90s albums. Massive Attack though   Their first 3 albums are so strong and their later work has a lot of keepers too, love them.
November 27, 20204 yr Been expecting R.E.M. to be in the next post for so long, that's a nice finish. Massive Attack are class as well of course. Edited November 27, 20204 yr by Dircadirca
November 27, 20204 yr 17 of my votes made the top 40 :cheer: but two of them go straight away including my 30-pointer :nocheer: R.E.M.'s first 8 albums are all near flawless - my absolute favourite song is Fall On Me from 1986, and Everybody Hurts and Losing My Religion were worth all the airplay they got. Massive Attack's highlights for me are Unfinished Sympathy and Daydreaming from their debut, then I guess Teardrop, but their first 3 albums are strong throughout. November 27, 20204 yr Ooh that's much higher than I'd have predicted Massive Attack to be given some of the groups that dropped out early on!

November 28, 20204 yr Not sure about Bon Jovi especially their biggest hit Always. I like Livin' on a Prayer though. :P My fave U2 song is the underrated Angel of Harlem. :cheer: Edited November 28, 20204 yr by Jason
November 28, 20204 yr Finally a good one, Bon Jovi. Not too fussed on all the other recent ones but I do love Bon Jovi glad they are top 40
November 28, 20204 yr 4 of mine in a row, I knew this was coming... New Order faves: Blue Monday, The Perfect Kiss, True Faith... so many good songs (as obvious as that sounds) and the same for U2 but my faves of theirs are from their big albums: Where The Streets Have No Name, With Or Without You, and Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (although One is great too).
November 28, 20204 yr I don't know that many songs by New Order but I do really like all the ones I have heard, 'Blue Monday' especially is of course a classic  U2 and Bon Jovi both have their moments ~
November 28, 20204 yr I'm actually surprised I voted for U2 as I kinda hate Bono these days, but it's undeniable they were a great band at their peak in 97-91 Massive Attack are the best dance act ever imo, so many amazing tracks, with Chemical Brothers probably being the second best dance act Also love Snow Patrol, especially the Eyes Open album and of course REM have an incredible catalogue of great songs and albums
November 28, 20204 yr New Order and U2 have lots of classics, 'Bizarre Love Triangle' and 'One' are probably my favourites by each. Bon Jovi though, one of my all time favourite bands  I'm glad they're top 40 but I'll be honest I thought they'd finish a few places higher...
November 29, 20204 yr New Orders current single ‘Be A Rebel’ is class as well It seems to divide opinion. Some people find it to be dull and some think it's great. I love it. Surprised to see New Order up so high. They'd have got 29 points from me. REM would also have got lots of points from me.

REM would also have got lots of points from me. Yeh it charted top 10 for me, nothing out of the ordinary from their 80s classics but still nice and upbeat!
