I feel like this is going to flop so hard for her, especially with no hit single, but we will see.

22 songs on a Demi album is... very brave. She's not the most interesting artist ever, even with a past like hers her music still comes across as just.. stale and overdone. But she seems genuinely excited for this and Tell Me You Love Me was a decent album, and by Demi's standards, it was amazing. From the description it sounds like a Kacey Musgraves inspired album with the country/disco elements mixed with Demi's usual balladry.

The cover is stunning though, so a small win there.

seems very sudden in a way, is it really out in a couple weeks? guess there are no vinyls...

he only thing this can be saved is if there's some high profile collaborations like Ariana or Bieber

I can't help thinking they're maybe relying on the documentary to spark interest in this? I mean, it seemed to be named after it.

Kind of similar to how Britney's GH collection has been consistently floating around in the top 100 since the documentary about her aired.

I doubt it's a passion project when she has the more hit-seeking manager in the music business who would do anything for a hit. I'm sure they have some secret card to play, didn't Ariana do a song with Demi?

I fear this is doomed from the get going, the quick release, the lack of many physical formats...

Maybe the doc will help, but in Britney's case it's relatively easy for GH to chart on streams alone

Art of Starting Over is possibly her new single.. followed with album announcement. Rumours of it being a double album.
I'm not entirely sure about the latter (it could be because of the 22 tracks?), but it's a double titled album. "Dancing with the Devil" and "The Art of Starting Over" are titles on her album. Demi mentioned that the latter was going to be the name of her album, but she was debating with the former (possibly because of her upcoming YouTube documentary), so she opted with both of them.

There are going to be three female collaborations on the album. I guess Ariana Grande is one of them.

I haven't seen any vinyl yet, but there are three alternate physical editions of the album with a bonus track each one. I'm wondering if each alternate physical edition will have their own bonus track (19 tracks + 1 bonus track) or it will be the same for all of them (21 tracks + 1 bonus track).

Based of what she said on Clubhouse, I'm inclined with the former.

22 songs? christ

Our poor ears having to hear her scream 22 songs.

Yeh I really can’t see this performing well tbh

The Ariana track will be a big streaming song I guess but the album commercially will probably do the worst!

Releasing the lead single on the same day as the album? Her first album to miss the top 10 here since Unbroken I suspect then
I honestly thought this was going to smash with Scooter as her manager l, but things with Scooter just seem to be even messier tbh

I think Demi definitely takes a back seat when it comes to Scooter. It's a shame because I am looking forward to hearing the album, but it's going to do absolutely nothing commercially.

At least with Justin his random releases scattered throughout last year have all built up to something (Justice) and they've been included in the project, but with only Anyone being included on this album it's like they were just throwing mud at a wall seeing what would stick. Disappointing considering when you think about Demi, Confident and Tell Me You Love Me they're all pretty amazing and solid albums. What's gone wrong with her?
