I’m now beginning to believe the truth in the speculation

That when Kush does leave the show he will commit suicide. I think now it’s beginning to make more sense. I think the gambling will get worse / more extreme and I feel as though it’s about to really end in a tragic way.

I'd be really surprised if this wasn't the case; Kate Oates often recycles similar stories from her stints in previous soaps. I really don't think it's worth sacrificing someone as talented as said actor or someone who seems happy to stay in the soap.

I'm not sure on Suki yet I just have a feeling she will end up been like Gavin and fall completely flat.

I think she’s already surpassed Gavin. She isn’t comically evil and her actions have actually had consequences.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned before but are we heading towards a Jay/Honey romance??

It definitely feels like they’re going there but then you watch Eastenders 2008 where Honey is a grown adult and Jay is just a very little boy and you don’t know how to feel. They’re consenting adults but it still feels as off as Max/Lucy did.

The Frankie storyline is boring and feels so forced. I don’t mind Frankie herself, or I didn’t before she became embroiled in the Carters.
She showed such promise interacting with Tina and Kathy as well. Her initial scenes with Ben and Callum were great too.
I knew a pregnancy for Rainie would be one happy step too far for her and Stuart. I get the feeling she really is leaving too.

I know I really should but I just can never feel sorry for Mick.

Rainie and Stuart on the other hand are possibly my favourite characters in the show.

I knew exactly that ending was incoming, with a taxi arriving while Mick was just walking along

I've missed these intimate episode set-ups where it's all character focused. Felt like EastEnders for the first time in yonks. (Just seen it was a Natalie Mitchell episode, don't think she's written in a while but she's definitely up there with the better writers).

Finally Rainie and Stuart having some focus! Of course it would have been lovely if they had a happy ending but it wasn't really realistic that Rainie would be pregnant anyway and at least they're now even stronger as a couple. It's incredible how far Stuart has come since 2018 (notice how we're never expected to forget his past or he's portrayed as an all-round good person) and I've grateful for every moment we have Rainie on the show given how she's previously never stayed more than a few months at a time).

I could be here for it, though it’d be nice for Stuart and Rainie to be happy raising Abi now that Max has completely lost interest. I’m trying to think but would this be the first surrogacy storyline in EE that actually went somewhere?
