Also, why is Kheerat being so difficult about it. Sure, Gray saved him in the fire-but he knew Chantelle was terrified. He knew that before she died, she was trying to escape. I know they want Whitney as super sleuth but him not helping given the chance makes no sense.

He did look like he might be changing his mind when he saw her rushing to Gray's house yesterday.

 

Why couldn't Whitney have just joined that forum in her own name instead of spending all that time trying to work out Chantelle's password? As a member, wouldn't she have been able to read Chantelle's posts?

I quite enjoyed that episode. Not perfect by any means but not like the last couple of Christmas episodes that kind of went down like lead balloons. I wish Sonia had gotten more, she feels like a side character in her own story at this point. Hopefully an confrontation with Dotty in the coming episodes. Not sure about Rocky being Dotty’s dad though. Removes the last link to Dot.

 

Whitney was a bit silly trying to seduce Gray at the beginning. Something he was always going to be able to turn around on her.

 

Janine was brilliant and everyone else came across as a bit of a killjoy. But of course, Scarlett had to be listening when Janine said what she did. We can’t have things turn out well.

It wasnt a bad episode this year but it lacked the big wow moment which is something the show has struggled with for a while.

Really struggling to stick with the show at this point.

30 minute episodes return permanently again from Monday, expect for Tuesdays where the episodes will remain 20 mins to suit Holby City's timeslot until it finishes in March.

They are struggling with the 20 minute episodes so I dont fully see this as good news yet.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think the show is THAT bad right now. I’d argue that it’s been far worse several times in the last five years.

 

Honestly the cast is pretty good right now and I can’t say I’m hating any particular story right now.

Saw a few people get angsty at Linda not recognising Janine yesterday. To be fair, it was almost 8 years ago and a lot has happened for her to just remember one specific time they met so it would make sense that she "seemed familiar" rather than going "omg it's Janine".

Yeah, I can understand Linda not immediately recognising Janine it’s not like they were close, Janines changed appearance since and it’s been 2014 since I don’t think many people would recognise people they last seen 7 years ago immediately.

 

 

Linda and Janine met once, almost 8 years ago and Janine has changed her appearance since then. Linda must have served thousands of people in that time. Being familiar but not remembering is perfectly understandable.

 

I’m not as outraged as they want me to be about Janine messing with Mick and Linda. That ‘relationship’ should have ended long ago, it’s never been functional.

I just hate everytime linda is off screen on maternity they go the same route of almost splitting them up,, they could have done 3 scenes with kelly and just show mick visiting her and show the strength of the relationship rather than the weaknesses.

The current scriptwriters literally cant be trusted with any of the characters and charlie Brooks obviously returned for the money rather than the quality of the scripts as her return storylines are nothing special although her acting is still great and she still gets some great oneliners.
