They seem to be trying to rehabilitate Sharon by throwing some lively women at her to see what sticks.

 

I love how it looks like the Taylors have a shrine to Bronson already and yet no pictures of Chantelle anywhere.

Why have literally brushed over chantelle death like it never happened, prior to her death it was the best storyline on the show. I could feel Chelsea stress anxiety and worry going through that airport, it was a good scene.

Gwen Taylor has been cast as Stuart and Callum's grandmother, now that's a good signing!!

Good news, we need some more of the older generation. Plus it means they’re invested in the Highways.

I agree we need more older cast members so hopefully this will lead to at least 1 more joining.

I remember it all so vividly. Such a great time for EE-Phil getting shot, Mel/Steve wedding, Kat Slater and Anthony Trueman, Dot and Jim. So many iconic characters at once.

A great era for EastEnders that was. I think there was a documentary regarding Who Shot Phil wasn't there.

Love Denise ‘Chelsea, it’s like I don’t recognise you anymore’. She was away for 10 years and has gained a new head plus the ability to act.

 

I just can’t route for Ash at all. She didn’t ever seem bothered her career was in danger and she keeps hanging around with awful Peter.

Missed opportunity not getting Suki as landlady of The Vic tbh.

 

She elevates every scene she's in right now and she's such an interesting, layered character whilst simultaneously being a classic soap bitch.

I’m really not looking forward to the Carters going back in the Vic. I’m yawning already.

 

What is Sharon going to do for a job?

I really loved Lucas and Chelsea’s last scene really well acted from both . I did think Lucas would stick around longer than this but he’s been written out quite well .

I have enjoyed having Lucas back, he is a complex character that the writers could have done so much with if he stayed but he was written out well and of course acted brilliantly by Don who i think is a great actor.

Kelly Bright is pregnant again. Given how convoluted all these temporary maternity exits are, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they put the Carters back in the vic so Linda could relapse and go to rehab.

Ya they might do it that way, I'd be happy to see drunk Linda return though even if it's only for a little while to allow her exit.

I wish they’d keep Covid out of the show given they’re not consistent with it. Suki and Patrick preaching about the importance of the vaccine whilst chatting in a small shop that has no hand sanitiser on the way in and without masks.

Still not convinced Jean has cancer. I don’t believe they’ll kill her off with Stacey not being on screen.

Im hoping that is right about Jean as i want her to stay, one of my faves in the show.

I am fearful of how Linda's temporary exit will be storylined this time.

I think it could be Linda goes back on the drink and goes off to rehab for a few months.
