I honestly think they do tbh

what doesn't add up is that during the year you can clearly see Amazon has no big share in streaming of big hits

cos a lot of times there are song doing well on Amazon only and you barely see an effect in the main chart

meaning Amazon streams are comparable to Apple maybe but sure less than Spotify

a song doing well on Amazon only, barely translates into a low top 100 come Friday

 

but then Xmas arrives and all those exclusives manage to do crazy numbers

unlike the first part of the year, surprised the OCC doesn't find it funny... cos it doesn't add up

Doesn't Amazon have 2 slightly different charts for their streaming service? I am still unsure exactly how their charts work but iirc last year Ellie was much higher on one chart than she was on the other which explained the apparent disparity. I do agree it seems a little weird though.

 

Unrelated: I see Megan Thee Stallion finally has another song making the top 200 here - am I to assume this is just the chosen TikTok hit of the era x
