I think fans in attendance confirmed it was Blame It on Me! (was it a virtual audience?)

The deluxe is already printed it's not about rereleasing it's about shifting copies sat about on a warehouse floor.

If she wanted to sell deluxe editions of the album, she wouldn't be putting Into You on Spotify.

It will be tomorrow. There is some odd replies in this thread.

Now if she had performed Into You at the Royal Variety instead of Blame It on Me, maybe I'd understand the logic...

As I said in the other thread, I doubt she picked the track she got to perform. I'm just glad it was a Melanie C track - I guess the producers choose it because it actually got a fair bit of airplay and by its iTunes performance had some crossover to a more "casual" audience.

If Melanie wanted to sell more deluxe editions of her album, she should have had a better track list. Having a deluxe edition of a ten track album is silly. No wonder she didn't sell that many.

Yeah Blame it on me's airplay definitely helps her when it comes to pitching performing it.

Why does it say Original Mix on the cover? Isn't it the album version?

Sounds exactly the same to me!

Out now in the UK :cheer:

On first listen this is more instant than anything on her latest album imo, sounds great.

Oh no, I mean those who heard the standard album but haven't heard the deluxe. I've only listened to the deluxe tracks once myself.

I thought you was saying it because this one sounds more mainstream, I was like oh cheers.

*shrug* Either way if it'll shift a few more copies of the album plus help ship the deluxe album to the stores and off the warehouse floor it'll be worth it for her. I get the impression that the stores might not have ordered many copies of it also and just settled with the standard.

So thats it?? No video?! Not even a lyric video? What a waste of opportunity, Mel. -_- Such a great song.

Always thought Into You should´ve been the next single after Who I Am.. and then Blame it On me.

Whats the point of 'new single' if there is no decent promo?! Is this the way she wants to wrap this era? Really??

Into You is currently #205 on iTunes. Doesn’t seem like iTunes has updated its chart for 4 hours so hopefully it’ll be higher in the next update.

the fact she mentioned it is a single bodes well for everyone and we might eventually get a video.

Basically, it's Christmas time. Mostly no songs beyond Christmas songs will get a look in right now, both on radio and on streaming. Most artists do a soft release like this to get the song bubbling under over the Christmas and then with the intention to then release a video and do proper promo.

It's just a new release strategy that came out of the streaming era. Little Mix have just released a new song on streaming with the same strategy: put it out there now, get some soft streames and build on it after Christmas. Not a bad strategy, just a new one. It will be good to see how that works for Mel.

I hope you're right! Into You deserve better...
