Presumably a mixture of the song being controversial and it not being relevant outside the UK/Ireland. I think it is listed higher up on the more UK specific playlists.

It’s so weird that the Spotify Christmas playlists have a different order for everyone, I wonder if it’s personalised at all or just random

The Spotify Christmas Hits playlist almost looks thrown together randomly outside the first five.

 

I even have two Helene Fischer songs, including Santa Baby a place higher than Wizzard despite Kylie’s version already being on there much higher in 16th.

Early update today, Mariah and Wham both over 800k!
Compared to the same Saturday last year Mariah is up 277k, Wham is up 294k and Kelly Clarkson has more than doubled her streams for UTT!
Why are the UK folks so fond of Xmas songs? AIWFCIY has over half of the US streams in the UK. No other song ever does those kind of numbers in comparison. Last Christmas is almost BIGGER in the UK :lol: Crazy

The first time Mariah got anywhere near 800k last year was Christmas Eve when it did 1.1 mil. The previous highest was 675k on December 1st and 648k on the 23rd

Well that’s it Mariah finally going to get to number one in the UK!! 850k streams wow!!

 

Also nice to see The Pretenders top 40 on Spotify, should be top 100 this week again.

 

 

Newer Xmas songs also hitting new peaks and with SCR should be top 100 too!
