Internet Money launched a knowledge-sharing YouTube channel in late 2016, and three years later started releasing tracks on its like-named label, including their own "Somebody," produced by Taylor and partner Nick Mira. Taylor, a native Floridian, established himself by selling his early beats online to support himself and his mother, who had been diagnosed with cancer. Once he made some headway, he signed a publishing deal, and in 2017 landed his first credits on commercially released tracks such as Desiigner's "Liife," Kodak Black's "My Klik," and XXXTENTACION'S "f*** Love." Taylor worked on the last of these three with emergent teenaged musician/producer Nick Mira, and the two were soon behind Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dreams" and Lil Tecca's "Ransom," both of which became Top Ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Around the time the latter hit was taking off in 2019, the label side of Internet Money was officially launched with a Mira-assisted EP by Poorstacy. That October, the label issued "Somebody," credited to Internet Money with Taylor and Mira the producers and Tecca and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie as the featured rappers. - iTunes Gunna As a kid growing up just south of Atlanta, rapper Gunna, a.k.a. Sergio Kitchens (born 1993), used to practise what he and his friends called “six-month runs”: cut all extraneous spending for six months and save, save, save. The discipline and deferred gratification served him well: After spending his late teens and early twenties quietly exploring his style and releasing only one mixtape, Gunna broke big in 2016 with a feature on Young Thug’s “Floyd Mayweather”—a co-sign that helped him bypass the hustle and made him one of the most sought-after new voices in the game. Later that year, Thug’s YSL label released the first of his multi-part Drip Season series, which synthesised his influences into an airy trap sound: smooth and mellow, blending spacious beats with a relaxed, highly melodic delivery and off-the-cuff humour. Between a couple more seasons of Drip and features with Travis Scott (“Yosemite”) and Metro Boomin (“Space Cadet”), Gunna also forged a productive collaboration with Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, releasing Drip Harder in late 2018. The pairing was anointed GOAT status from a sometime GOAT himself, Future, with whom Gunna also featured on “Unicorn Purp”. Like Thug, Gunna has a thing for fashion; “drip” is his slang for personal style. “The salesmen that know me in Barneys say I smell like Biscotti mixed with Creed,” he raps on “Idk Why”, from his official 2019 debut album, Drip or Drown 2. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History Internet Money 2020 75 Somebody (feat. She was born and raised in the London Borough of Islington, London, where she attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis achieved national recognition when she won the third series of The X Factor in 2006, winning a £1 million recording contract with Simon Cowell's record label, Syco Music. Her winner's single, a cover of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This", peaked at number one for four weeks on the UK Singles Chart and it broke a world record for having 50,000 digital downloads within 30 minutes. In February 2007, Lewis signed a five-album contract in the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Lewis's success continued with the release of her debut album, Spirit, in 2007; it went 10× platinum in the United Kingdom and became the fourth best selling album of the 2000s. The lead single, "Bleeding Love", spent seven weeks at number one. She achieved international recognition with the album in 2008 when it topped charts around the world. Spirit has sold more than eight million copies worldwide, and "Bleeding Love" peaked at number one in over 30 countries, becoming the best-selling single of 2008. As a result, she was proclaimed 'Top New Artist' by Billboard in 2008. Under the guidance of Cowell and Davis, Lewis released her second UK number-one album Echo and recorded the theme song for the film Avatar in 2009, while embarking on her first UK arena tour, The Labyrinth, in 2010. In 2011, Lewis released the non-album single "Collide", a collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii, and her first extended play, Hurt: The EP. Her third album, Glassheart, was released in 2012. It marked a new creative direction for Lewis, drawing inspiration from dubstep and electronic music. However, it failed to match the commercial performance of her two previous albums, peaking at number three on the UK Albums Chart and becoming her first to not be certified platinum. Lewis began to record material for her first Christmas album during her Glassheart Tour, which took place in mid 2013. Christmas, with Love was released later that year. Its lead single, "One More Sleep", peaked at number three in the UK. With this chart entry, Lewis became the first British female solo artist to achieve eight top 5 singles, surpassing Olivia Newton-John's record of seven. With a career starting in 2006, Lewis is the second best-selling act, behind One Direction, to have emerged from The X Factor franchise, having sold 20 million records worldwide. Lewis has won two MOBO Awards, an MTV Europe Music Award, and two World Music Awards. She is also a six time Brit Awards and three time Grammy Award nominee. Lewis is known for her expansive four octave vocal range, power, technical control and, in particular, her frequent use of the falsetto register. Aside from her musical career, Lewis is a philanthropist and an animal welfare campaigner for World Animal Protection and is a supporter of other animal rights charities and organisations; she is also a vegetarian. In 2014, Lewis made her film debut in the supporting role of Elena in the romantic comedy musical, Walking on Sunshine. In 2016, Lewis made her Broadway debut as Grizabella in the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats; she played the role from that July to October. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2006 01 A Moment Like This -1- 2007 01 Bleeding Love -2- MILLION SELLER 2007 46 Forgiveness -B-SIDE- 2007 25 Footprints In The Sand 2007 61 Whatever It Takes -AT- 2007 73 The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face -AT- 2007 97 Take A Bow -AT- 2008 02 Better In Time / Footprints In The Sand -3- 2008 05 Forgive Me -4- 2008 01 Run -5- MILLIONAIRE 2008 98 Misses Glass -AT- 2009 02 Happy -1- 2009 29 Stop Crying Your Heart Out -AT- 2010 14 I Got You -2- 2011 04 Collide (Leona Lewis & Avicii) -NAS- 2011 08 Hurt -EP- 2012 07 Trouble (feat. They rose to prominence during the early 1970s with 17 consecutive top 20 hits and six number ones. The British Hit Singles & Albums names them as the most successful British group of the 1970s based on sales of singles. They were the first act to have three singles enter the charts at number one; all six of the band's chart-toppers were penned by Noddy Holder and Jim Lea. As of 2006, total UK sales stand at 6,520,171, and their best-selling single, "Merry Xmas Everybody", has sold in excess of one million copies. Following an unsuccessful move to the United States in 1975, Slade's popularity waned but was unexpectedly revived in 1980 when they were last-minute replacements for Ozzy Osbourne at the Reading Rock Festival. The band later acknowledged this to have been one of the highlights of their career. The original line up split in 1992 but the band reformed later in the year as Slade II. The band has continued, with a number of line-up changes, to the present day. They have now shortened the group name back to Slade. A number of diverse artists have cited Slade as an influence, including alternative rock icons Nirvana and the Smashing Pumpkins, punk pioneers the Ramones, Sex Pistols, the Undertones, the Runaways and the Clash, glam metal bands Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Poison, Def Leppard, heavy metal bands Twisted Sister & Quiet Riot and pop-rock stalwarts the Replacements, Cheap Trick. The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Music tells of Holder's powerful vocals, guitarist Dave Hill's equally arresting dress sense and the deliberate misspelling of their song titles for which they became well known.
