Look Up at the Stars has become a major favourite over the week too  The lyrics, what it means to Shawn (about us fans ), just everything, ugh. SO GOOD :cheeseblock:

also lyrical king going from

'you'll never be alone'

to

'i'll never be alone'

Look Up at the Stars... a dreamy sounding opening verse - his vocals always sounds very at home with this vibe. The chorus taking things up a notch is an unexpected but appreciated shift!

Mentioning Wonderland too like in the intro :o I feel like this should've closed the album  (@ Stars x)

It will be the biggest crime if he doesn't get to perform this album live (with an actual crowd, etc)

Can’t Imagine is a nice little outro, somehow it doesn’t feel like a fully formed song to me. It’s lovely though.

Can't Imagine is a cute way to close the album too, and I adore the very end with the spoken words, but otherwise it's not really any more than that sadly oops

Cool, that's good for now.

Thanks very much for joining, everybody

And Bal, I hope you enjoyed the album on first listen

Overall... I’m really loving ‘Wonder’! It’s a varied yet cohesive album. The somewhat mixed reception to it & particularly how it’s performing in the UK chart is a shame. :( Honestly I think Monster set the wrong tone to launch the album with, at least for this market.

Yeah I think having Monster launch the album was a major oops - it should have been one of Higher, Teach Me How to Love or Piece of You, and I think the support may have been behind him a bit more. They clearly wanted to push Teach Me How to Love to some extent anyway with it being chosen for NMF etc, or is that Spotify that decides that?

I really enjoyed that (especially reading your guys' comments alongside my first impressions). The album is definitely not what I expected - there are great moments of production throughout and he has experimented with different vibes. I'm a fan (and it'll probably grow once I can properly take more note of the lyrics which is hard on first listen). Another listen party in the future please x

Glad you enjoyed Bal! We can definitely arrange another listening party for some point once we've all digested the album for some time *.*
