okay so after listening it doesn't really sound like Dua, it's not polished enough

it sounds like a final four drag race song though.. like lyrically it's awful and the production doesn't pop enough. MNEK, Raye and SG Lewis on 1 song and this is the outcome? anyway

the lyrics are very that hahah

Omg it literally is a Drag Race song.

It’s actually getting worse for me on the third/fourth listens.

Ponytail to the waistline

I'm absolutely not a fan of hers usually, but I think this is great!

It's nice to hear her sound like she's having fun and enjoyment in her music, something I haven't really got from her before (even in 'Don't Call Me Up', much as I did enjoy that as a basic pop bop). Like, it doesn't sound as forced and comes across a bit more genuine to me.

I kind of like it, but not as much as I'd have liked to.

Ooph, those lyrics. Omfg a 'Drag Race Song' is too accurate. Can we get a remix wit one of the girls rapping over a verse?

This sounds painfully basic.... wow. I am shocked how bad this actually is. Totally agree with the Drag Race comments, I could definitely see some of the queens singing this song  What happened to 'Thinking Of You'- era Mabel. She was so good back then.

I’m not really feeling this. The lyrics are extremely basic and the transition into the chorus is a bit too jarring.

I’m sure it’ll do well though as Spotify loves her for some reason and it does seem like the type of song that the generic listener will enjoy.

A press release for the song states Mabel wrote it inspired by obsessively watching Drag Race, Pose and Paris Is Burning.

Music video premieres in an hour :cheer:

Seems like this’ll be a divisive song here then, but I’m kind of surprised! I think it’s immensely likeable, fun, lighthearted and camp! Every element of this song is hook after hook.

A few of her more recent singles were basic in that they were fairly nondescript bops, but I don’t think this new song could be accused of that. There’s personality on display here.

I think it sounds like something Booty Luv could have released, and I mean that as a compliment!

Yeah I'm shocked this has been so divisive so far! I'm loving it!

Yes all of this! I also got Booty Luv vibes

It's a fun bop! I love the bouncy production and how unashamedly camp it is

I LOVE the chorus, the verses not so much…

Added to B list on Radio 1, Hot Hits placement too! Her team really know what to do and have handled this release perfectly so far. Really excited to see how it does.

Chorus is really catchy.

This is not the Mabel that i love but i can still apprexiate.
