So true, not as hard as having a cassette and having to forward/rewind just to get the start of a song 😂

The dreaded fast forward trying to find the song you liked  There is a lot to be said about the streaming era but Spotify is a god send

Cassettes were painful.

Just Wanna Love You was never a Kylie track that I had huge great love for.

Cassettes are by far the worst formats, especially for albums, rewinding to the whole time to get the songs you really want.

Fact - B-Side to Word is out

Personal view - Such a great song and I’m surprised it doesn’t have more plays as its generally a fan favourite

Loved (and still do) ‘Say The Word’ - on reflection at the time Kylie moved too fast for her audience at the time and I wasn’t a fan of ‘Word Is Out’ but this made up for it.

I think I'm one of only a few fans that really like Word is out, I also think Lets get to it as an album is very underrated.

Number 256 - Getting Closer

Fact - Getting Closer was originally chosen as the follow-up single to the 1987 release of "Locomotion" mixes were made, including an exclusive version for the UK, and a sleeve was produced (although no records were ever made) however, it was cancelled in favour of "I Should Be So Lucky".

Personal view - While I am not not fussed on Glad to be alive, this is a b-side I much prefer, interesting that it was potentially going to be a single yet never even made the album

So pleased this was scrapped as a single! I don’t hate it but it’s certainly not single worthy!

Number 255 - Golden Boy

Fact - Released on 19 April 2014 for Record Store Day. The song was released exclusively on 7" vinyl by Parlophone and later for digital download by HMV. 1,000 records were pressed for the song. Golden Boy was originally intended to be included on the Japanese edition of Minogue's twelfth studio album Kiss Me Once, but was eventually left unused.

Personal view - I must admit I wasn’t even aware of this song until someone from Sayhey said I missed it of the last Spotify update.

Golden Boy :cheer:

Love that we got this as a Record Store Day 7” vinyl in 2014, bizarre that it took them so long to add to streaming and the only reason it appeared was due to some dodgy compilation album

The record day releases are great for rarities.

The GB one has been one of the best for Kylie as it was an etched single sided 7” and limited to 1,000 - just a shame they gave us a generic sleeve for it though.

I love etched vinyl singles, i have a few not Kylie related and love them.

They are cool to collect, I have the 12” limited edition one for ‘Word Is Out’ which is etched with her autograph on one side.

I never knew that existed until a couple of years ago, i would have loved that as part of my collection. Some years ago i was in Australia and traveled to a shop in Blacktown which i had found out was great for old vinyl and rarities at the time and i was lucky to get some of the singles i was unable to get when they released as i was a young kid and no money, i found so much stuff in the shop i was like an excited kid coming out of a sweet shop after.
If the decision proceeded for this to be Kylie's debut single I think those 80 million Kylie sales would not exist.
