Must admit this is a song I'd well forgotten about.

Surprised that many people have listened to ‘Soul On Fire’ :lol: Bland and forgettable - not even b-side material tbh.

Fact - Carried Away was recorded during the sessions for her tenth studio album X. The song was released as a bonus track on the Mexican edition of X, and was more comercially released as one of the B-sides to singles "Wow" and "In My Arms", alongside "Do It Again" and "Cherry Bomb".

 

Personal view - Wow is probably one of my least favourite Kylie songs so this was a welcomed addition as a b-side.

It was a good b side for me for wow.

As disappointing as Body Language is and boring in many places they did pick the best tracks for the album as the b sides and leftover tracks are terribly dull and bland.

Fact - Though recorded in 2000 during the sessions for Light Years, "Paper Dolls" was not included in the track listing of the album, nor did it appear on any variations of it. However, it appeared as the B-side to "Spinning Around", which was released as the album's lead single in June 2000, alongside "Cover Me with Kisses".

 

Personal view - Now this is much better. I love this song and it should have been on the album, it doesn't deserve to just be a b-side.

Love ‘Paper Dolls’ - I’m a fan of most Kylie slower tracks/ballads though tbh.

 

Thought it might have had more listens though as it generally seems one that fans remember/talk about.

I enjoy many of her slower songs too and paper dolls is def one of them.

Paper Dolls is worthy of a much higher placement.
