This isn’t a typical McCartney album, it’s self-produced etc. I think more than just die hard fans will buy it.

Yes and it's getting good reviews. Even I'm thinking of buying at and am not a big fan really.

Going with Michael Ball & Alfie Boe. They've been selling consistently so far and I think their Graham Norton performance on Friday will give them a nice boost (it's the last weekend before Christmas so I imagine this will keep them in the forefront of people's minds when rushing for last minute presents).
Yeh I forgot they are performing this Friday, could be the turning point!

Ive always wondered who wants a Christmas album as a Christmas present. It’s not like they are going to get much use out of it after actual Christmas Day.

Maybe they would listen throughout the Xmas holiday and next year

looking at Paul McCartney's discography he doesn't seem like a huge seller in albums

his last 2 albums opened with just 15K, so he'd need a lot of promo to suddenly triplicate or quadruplicate what he usually sells... also he mostly releases in quiet weeks out of Q4... the only time he released in Nov/Dec in recent(-ish) times was Driving Rain and that even missed the top 40 :o

never understood CDs as Xmas presents either, always thought it was a UK thing...

It must be.

Think think this one has lots of versions and is a big comeback for the ‘McCartney’ albums

so Eminem did released B-side in the end :o

Only No.8 on Amazon now. Neil Diamond leads.
