This has gotten me in the mood to revisit her last couple of albums which I shall do later today. Excited.

I haven't heard much of her previous work, I really ought to it seems - what would anyone here recommend?

"Pay Your Way In Pain" is the title of her new single, which will be released in two weeks (early March). The track was produced by Jack Antonoff and the album is called Daddy's Home.

Instantly reminds me of Fame by David Bowie with the PAIN/SHAME parts of the chorus, you can tell she's a big fan of his work. Quite like it and can imagine it will grow.

Yep I definitely get them vibes! Already growing a lot on second listen, there's so much going on and I think there will be something to uncover with each listen.

for me it sounds more Prince than Bowie, but I actually wish it sounded more like herself, bit too copycat

I can see the Prince comparison and you’re right, it does sound very much like the late great purple one.

 

A couple more plays in now and I love it

I really want to like this so much more than I am :cry: I keep going back to it and its slightly growing, but definitely disappointed :(
