Now this is one I have mixed feelings about It's very fun and charismatic but it's hardly a game changer.

A-Yo is just so fun and groovy, love it! It introduced a new side of her too imo musically.

The way this made an entire fanbase MELTDOWN as it was rumoured to be the next single instead of Million Reasons (which was SMASHING in the US at the time )

Another could've been a single moment. I'd probably have done: Diamond Heart -> A Million Reason -> John Wayne -> A-YO

 

Very catchy. The production is minimal but effective.

The production is super!

I feel like this could've been a middling hit in the US and that's about it. The rest of the world would not "get" this in my opinion. Keep it as an album track!

I like this a lot. It's so beautiful and obviously extremely personal to her. The thing I love about this album is everything is simple, but so effective. But isn't this song a GRAMMY winner? *.* (in acoustic form iirc but still!)

JW is brilliant production wise, not sure if it's necessarily a great SONG. The video is so fun and just what the era needed.
