Nice to see it popping up on iTunes charts

Might be good to point people to those purchasing links so that people actually buy the albums as they are back on sale as well internationally and the UK fans can re-download:

Im not able to save it but can play it!
Her best album.

The more time passes, the more I agree with this actually. Free Me currently just slightly edges it for the sheer brilliance of it all, but Life in Mono is immaculately made

IT'S FINALLY OUT ON YOUTUBE AS WELL :cheer:

Did you know that Life in Mono was mainly produced by Simon Franglen? I feel like this is a little-know/not much debated aspect of this album, which goes right to the point of how it sounds so cohesive and gorgeously produced.

It is quite impressive for a small popstar like Emma to hire someone of his calibre to produce the whole album... I mean, Simon was producer for various pop-stars like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Bee Gees, etc. He also produced the soundtracks of films like 007_Spectre, Spider-Man, etc. He even won Grammys and Golden Globes for his work.

You can tell he wasnt cheap and he definitely brings in production expertise that elevated Emma's sound from Free Me. I mean, just the live orchestration of most of the songs, makes this one of the best produced solo albums - if not the best in terms of production quality.

hey all! i’m new to this website but i listened to this album for the first time today & i immediately fell in love. i’ve heard A Girl Like Me & Free Me before but i hadn’t heard this one; however this album definitely solidifies Emma as the Spice Girl with the best solo albums.

Downtown, Something Tells Me & Mischevious were definitely my favourites! a #65 peak is absolutely CRIMINAL, but i’m aware that the sales were actually pretty decent and the album just suffered on the charts due to the christmas period.

Mischevious is one of my favourites too! It's stunning.

Yeah, the chart position was so sad, specially as people automatically labelled it a flop, when it was an actual ok seller for a solo Spice standard. On a normal week, it would have gone much higher and probably wouldn't have halted the campaign like it did...

From that point on, the label and the press just didn't care at all for the album or Emma, sadly...

yes! it sold twice as more as ‘Passion’ by Geri first week which got to #41 and around 3k less than Victoria’s self titled which made the top 10 - so it’s all about timing unfortunately.

i’m sure Emma wasn’t too fussed though as she got pregnant not long after the album’s release which would obviously have been a bigger priority.

Let’s be real for a second. It wouldn’t have sold nearly as much if it hadn’t been released during the Christmas season, so Simon was smart to choose that release date.
