KOL of course will be #1, it'll be interesting to see if anyone else can debut in the top 10 though. A Day to Remember's last album got to #6 (6.9k) and Gabrielle's got to #7 (6.7k).

I imagine A Day to Remember and Gabrielle will comfortably be Top 10, perhaps even completing the Top 3 if they sell 6k+!

Wonder how much Kings of Leon will sell, can they beat Foo Fighters? 'WALLS' in 2016 sold just shy of 50k (including 4.3k from streams).

yes, very interesting week in terms of how much KOL will sell, guess their fans are still there

wonder if the lack of radio support will affect their sales

agree ADTR and Gabrielle will be top 5 minimum

also curious to see how Zara Larsson does

Yeh the biggest question this week will be if KOL will break 30k!

this is from last time KOL charted in albums:

In another week of extreme volatility at the top end of the chart, Kings Of Leon's seventh studio album WALLS stands head and shoulders above the rest, earning the familial Nashville quartet - comprising brothers Nathan, Caleb and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew - their fifth straight No.1 album on sales of 49,964 copies (including 4,267 from streams).

That's more than three times as many sales as any other album, and slightly more than the rest of the top five combined, but it is pretty sluggish by their own standards - on their debuts at No.1, Because Of The Times (2007) sold 70,451 copies, Only By The Night (2008) sold 220,879 copies, Come Around Sundown (2010) sold 183,298 copies and Mechanical Bull (2013) sold 71,765 copies.

so in summary:

Because of the Times (2007) - 70,451 copies

Only By The Night (2008) - 220,879 copies

Come Around Sundown (2010) - 183,298 copies

Mechanical Bull (2013) - 71,765 copies

Walls (2016) - 49,964 copies

Hope that KOL won't drop too much from the opening of 'WALLS' - they were still relevant enough to at least make the top 100 with the lead single (notably something Foo Fighters did not manage, at least not until after the album release) so hopefully that's a decent sign for them. 'The Bandit' and 'Echoing' have both been fantastic singles from them, possibly my favourite songs from them since the 'Only By The Night' era.

9. Carly Simon - No Secrets

Due to the repeat airing of BBC 4's Classic Albums which looked back at Carly's album. It's also #5 on Amazon.

1. Tom Grennan

2. Tom Grennan (Deluxe)

3. Thunder

5. Central Cee

6. Rob Zombie

7. Selena Gomez

8. Nick Jonas

11. The Anchoress

17. Blackmore’s Night

19. Joshua Bassett

20. Chez Kane

29. Valerie June

Previous album sales:

Tom Grennan [#5, 2018] 10,856

Thunder [#8, 2019] 5,834

Tom Grennan clearly going #1 this week with 20k+. If Central Cee does similarly to Digga D sales wise he could be #2 or #3. Thunder probably heading for top 5 if they can still sell that much two years later.

Yep, easy #1 for Tom Grennan this week. Might be getting a bit ahead of myself but I actually wouldn't be surprised if he came closer to 30k than 20k.
Looooove that Tom is doing so well - would have gotten nowhere without the two current singles charting (I was getting major Maverick Sabre vibes before that)
He managed to reach #5 with his first album that had no charting singles at the time, I'm sure he would have done just fine.

Yeah Tom has a solid fanbase, he'd have been fine without the singles doing well atm (though of course they'll help!)

Yeh tempted to give it a spin this week as I’m loving the new single(s). And wasn’t blown away by the 2-3 ones last year!

thinking he's gonna be >30K

Central Che is doing very well on Apple, much better than recent similar albums, so #2 seems feasible

He managed to reach #5 with his first album that had no charting singles at the time, I'm sure he would have done just fine.

Maverick Sabre got to number 2 with his first album and then missed top 40 with his second. There are loads of artists who the public just ignored upon return

I don't think it's true to say that it "would have gotten nowhere without the two current singles charting" though, he has his biggest tour ever coming up including Alexandra Palace
